Special Equestrians, Inc. is so grateful for the beautiful tack and gently used equestrian apparel our community has been donating for our Annual Tack Sale and Miracle Boutique. A significant portion of the proceeds from new items and 100% of the proceeds made from used items benefit Therapeutic Riding, Grooming, Driving, and our special programs like Pony Pals Outreach, Reading Rodeo, and Horses and Heroes! We want to thank our friends at Trinity Acres Equestrian Center, LLC. for always keeping us fully stocked. Not only can this group of equestrians ride, but they dress to the nines!! Thanks, friends, for keeping that bin overflowing to the brim with the best finds. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please schedule a time to drop off items. Many of our supporters are designating a space or bin in their tack rooms to house donated items. We can also organize a pick-up! Any equestrians getting ready for the winter show season? We also carry new items in partnership with Precision Saddlery & Bodywork, and we'll stock the space just the way you like it! What items would you like to see in our boutique? Complete the link and we'll do our best! https://forms.gle/RR4Bh2T3RuZDow9R7 Stay updated on all the latest happenings at specialequestrians.net and follow us on Facebook for exclusive updates on upcoming events, Miracle Boutique hours, and more! βœ¨πŸ†πŸ‘œπŸ›οΈ

Special Equestrians Inc. is a proud United Way Pacesetter! Pacesetters are companies and agencies that lead by example, aiming to support 50% of the annual United Way Campaign by setting the pace with an early campaign. United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades will raise $11,512,716.00 because of the team's commitment to its Partner Agencies, just like Special Equestrians. Ninety-six cents of every dollar raised will support services for over 300,000 people through a network of 90 partner agencies right here in Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties. Programs like Therapeutic Riding, Veterans Assistance Programs, Resiliency Hubs, Community Partner Schools, WeCare medical services, are just a few of the 260 programs that work in tandem to make a marked difference in our community. Our mutual transparency and accountability make us a proud partner with a high standard to live up to. Our team aims to raise 5% more than we did last year, so please get in touch with [email protected] if you'd like more information or to donate to our Pacesetters Campaign.

As we wrap up our program year, it's hard not to reflect on the incredible outcomes, connections, community support, donor engagement, and success we have had throughout the year. Thank YOU for Making Miracles Happen! Without you, we could not serve individuals with disabilities through equine-assisted activities and therapies and witness the beautiful connections, improvements, and healing that happen beneath the oaks, atop horses, and alongside one another. This mission is greater than any one of us, and knowing that our team and supporters work together to create such a beautiful space and serve this powerful mission fills our hearts and fuels us to find innovative ways to expand the work we do and create new opportunities for those we serve.

We aim to add two additional fundraising events to the 2025-26 program year. As we expand, we are seeking organized, upbeat, and innovative individuals to volunteer on a few of our committees. Perhaps your work schedule or lifestyle doesn't allow you to be on campus assisting in programs, but you have time to help plan an event or fundraiser? If you are as passionate as we are and want to share your time and talent with our organization, please complete the form linked below, and we will find the perfect committee fit for you. We so often hear from our volunteers that it is in giving that they receive so many unexpected blessings, skills, and perspectives, and that their experience with us has a profound impact on their lives. Please encourage anyone who may connect with our mission to visit our website, follow us on Facebook, and sign up to receive our emails. I invite you to schedule a tour and attend onsite events to see the impact your support has on the lives of others.

Special Equestrians, Inc. celebrates volunteer and friend Bob Lanham! Bob was raised on a small farm in West Virginia. He fondly remembers the horses. Everyone around them had small farms, and horses were a vital part of life in their community. While serving in the United States Air Force, Bob lived in Germany and France. During Bob and his wife Sue's fifty-year marriage, they moved eighteen times, including to Ohio, Atlanta, and Indiana. After serving, Bob returned to school and then worked for an oil company before spending fifteen years with a machinery company. At that time, he moved to Ft Myers and started his own company selling heavy equipment. He had been with the company for 21 years. Bob joined SE in 2001, shortly after his retirement, because Sue knew he was a man who needed to stay busy during retirement, so she encouraged him to visit Special Equestrians.

The first person he met was Karen Myers, and then he went on to work with our founder, Dee Hollander, with whom he has formed a dear friendship. He says that over the years, the program changed, but the concept didn't. He reflects on his enjoyment working with the volunteers, riders, and horses, but especially valued the relationships that formed in the space. As Bob prepares to move back to Atlanta to be near his daughter, Lisa, and her family, he packs along many sacred memories of his time at Special Equestrians.

We look forward to his visits and feel honored to have worked alongside such a kind, gentle, humble, and quick-witted gentleman. We will miss you, Mr. Bob Lanham, and hope to see you when you visit us again!🐴✨❀️

Special Equestrians, Inc. had a blast with our SE community! It was a wonderful celebration of Bob Lanham, a great man and dedicated SE volunteer since 2001. Participants, families, staff, and volunteers enjoyed spending time together before our August break. We all enjoyed food trucks and sweet treats as we previewed the Miracle Boutique and Reading Garden with our friend Guinness. We look forward to seeing everyone this fall when we resume our regular programming. βœ¨πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’žπŸ΄

Special Equestrians, Inc. enjoyed an afternoon with our friends and supporters from the Southwest Florida Dressage Association. Often, people thank our team for the space we create and for the outcomes it fosters. Now, it's our turn to say thank you to an organization that helps us better serve our mission by creating an equestrian space for us to team build, partake in restorative activities, professionally develop and grow, set goals, and cheer one another on with their mission to educate, inspire, encourage interest in and promote the equestrian discipline of dressage. SWFDA has continued to support our mission as our partnership has grown! It is an honor to announce that the SWFDA Special Equestrians' Stablemates show team has earned the team award with a combined score of 67.045. Congratulations to our team of instructors, Amy Oxendine on No Wonder He's Famous, Suzanne Renwick on Soquili Magnolia Blossom, Dana Hollenzer on Eristoff B, and Lisa Coy on Roo! We would also like to congratulate the dedicated SE volunteers who are also members. Congrats to Michaela Landrock on Frattini, Lilly Scippo on Miley, and Priscilla Kovalsky on Rydell for your participation and outstanding achievements. So often, we pour into others, and that's good. However, we often overlook the fact that by taking risks, challenging ourselves, and dedicating time to our personal development, we are better equipped to serve others. Thank you to all the SWFDA officials, volunteers, competitors, friends, trainers, and equestrian center owners who have supported us, enabling us to serve our mission of bringing equine-assisted activities, therapies, and sports to individuals with disabilities. Our community is Making Miracles Happen because of our relationships, connections, and supportive spirit! πŸ΄βœ¨πŸ™πŸΌ
