Pups N Paradise was originally established in 2011 in a trendy city called Jamaica Plain, a suburb of Boston. The owner Jeniffer decided to sell her business in 2015 and start her life all over again here in beautiful Fort Myers Florida. Pups N Paradise came about with a dream of living in a tropical paradise with her brood of American bullies. 2022 she happy to say her dreams came true and broug

ht back PNP. With 20+ years of experience and working with some of the best groomers in the country , her skill set excels in all breeds, scissor work, pet safe color, and hand stripping. She is truly passionate with creating a calm and loving atmosphere for you and your pets. We do not accept walk ins. We work with one family at a time to ensure a tranquil experience. Pets are never caged and are worked on straight through. No more sitting and waiting all day ! Most of you know that my life revolves around dogs, but what you might not know is that I recently said goodbye to my sweet Amira after 11 years. She was my heart, and I’m heading to Hawaii next week one of my favorite places in the world and where I plan to retire one day—to spread her ashes and give her the beautiful goodbye she deserves. ️🏝️🐾
Because this trip is so important for my soul, I’ll be away and the studio will be closed from April 27th to May 6th.
I want to head to the islands knowing all my favorite local pups are looking and feeling their best! I’m opening up every available minute this upcoming week to get as many haircuts in as possible before I go. I’m currently only 5 spots away from a full week! This includes Sunday the 26th.

If a dog is “bad” for grooming… this is why.

Most people see snapping, growling, or resistance and label the dog as difficult.

But what I see is a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe yet.

This boy didn’t need force.
He didn’t need to be “handled better.”

He needed time, patience, and someone willing to understand him.

So I met him where he was.
I adjusted.
I listened.

And over time… he softened.

Not because he changed
but because he finally felt safe enough to.

This is what I love about grooming.

It’s not just about making dogs look good…
it’s about building trust with the ones who need it most. 💛

If you have a “spicy” dog, I promise there is nothing wrong with them.
They just need the right approach.

The glow up and the transformation was tremendous. We went from a stiff body , tight face, to relaxed, open mouth and a dog that wanted to participate in the grooming experience. As a professional, we have to learn how to pivot for our clients. It doesn’t mean to avoid or stop doing what they don’t like, but learning how to do things in different ways . whether it’s holding the paw in a different position, marking behavior that we like, not taking things personally or being reactive based off the dogs behavior , maintaining calm composure ,being able to read dog body language and create and develop a deep connection with the dog Through trust.

Here’s some fun transformations from today!!

First up, we have Lava! She is a puppy and this is her first time coming in with me. Mom and dad wanted a Schnauzer pattern so I did a little correcting on her previous groom and I think she looks beautiful.

Then we have Maddie, the Pomeranian. This is her second time coming in getting a BBL 😎 she is such a sweetie pie
