Meet Cooper one of our chase and catch experts and our Puppy Daycare dog of the week! Cooper is 11 months old and became an Urban Pup at 4 months old! Where there is a ball, there will be a Cooper trailing closely behind it. He’s as fast as lightening so look closely or you’ll miss one of his famous air catches! He’s all muscle under those golden locks so there’s not many dogs that can beat him to the ball. Although a fierce competitor during an intense game of fetch, he’s also as sweet as pie towards his dog and human friends. He’s a real bright ray of sunshine around here and we’re just lucky we get to hang with such a majestic athlete of his caliber.

Cooper is friendly towards everyone, but if you throw a ball for him you will be the only person around him to exist.

Meet Doug, our standard daycare dog of the week! Doug is 1 year old and has been an Urban Hound since he started our puppy program in June of this year! He has always been nervous around new people and has taken his time to warm up to the staff. Since he joined our adult daycare, he loves playing with the other dogs, but has been weary of the staff and their constant words or reassurances. Over his last few visits, he has started to show interest in our closing staff and you can often find him walking up to smell them and has recently started greeting them at the door when they enter the daycare! We are thrilled with his progress and look forward to the future milestones we will reach together with Dougy!!

Meet Sybil: our Standard Daycare dog of the week! Sybil will be 10 years old next month. She has been an Urban daycare Hound since we re-opened after COVID, but she has been a grooming client for years prior! Sybil prides herself on her beautiful looks, whether it is her perfectly styled hair or her pearly white smile! You can catch her napping for most of the day when she comes for daycare (beauty sleep is a very real thing, I mean, look at her!) She has never met a stranger and will give anybody the opportunity to compliment her on her looks. Her favorite staff member is anybody who smiles at her and giver her the opportunity to smile back, as well as anybody who stands still and allows her to rub her head on their legs to undo the magic that her mom did to her hair earlier that morning.

Meet Petunia: our Structured Daycare dog of the week! Miss Petunia is just shy of 5 years old and has been an Urban Hound since she joined our puppy daycare program at 5 months old! With springs on her feet and the wind through her ears there’s nothing that’ll bring this girl’s mood down...Unless you’re a stranger of course. Petunia prides herself on keeping a small group of close friends because let’s face it having a true few is the way to go. If you’re not sure whether you’re in Petunia’s core group yet then chances are you’re probably not. You’ll just have to jump through a few hurdles with a little bit of begging, but once you get past her hard exterior you will be welcomed with endless kisses, the best chair snuggles and the deepest, unconditional love. And the best part? Once you’re lucky enough to join the core group you’re there to stay.

Petunia tolerates anyone that respects her space and can throw a ball, however she does hold Nicole on a pedestal.

Meet this week’s Puppy/Structured Daycare dog of the week: Charlie!!

Charlie Vizsla is a couple days short of being 8 months old and became an Urban Pup at 4 months old! Don’t let these pictures fool you, he does play with the other pups and has a great time in daycare. However, he can NOT pass up the opportunity to curl up on the teachers chair OR their laps! He lives a good cuddle and has never heard of this thing called personal space (with the staff or his friends). His favorite staff member is probably Alexandra, but anybody who welcomes him onto their lap is a close second!

Meet this week’s Standard daycare/Boarding dog of the week: Pound Cake!

Pound Cake is 4 years old and became an Urban Hound just 3 short months ago! She is such a polite lady and enjoys to nap and sit next to the staff. She definitely comes to daycare for the humans and would love any attention you give her, but she won’t demand it. She will just hang out near you, and if you happen to have some free time and some love to give, she is right there and ready to volunteer! That being said, her favorite staff member is anybody with a free hand that wants to pet her!
