Humane Society of York County Humane Society of York County is a no-kill 501(c)(3) rescue in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Our Mission:
To find loving fur-ever homes for dogs and cats.

The Humane Society of York County (HSYC) is an independent local non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals. We are a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and serve the greater Charlotte region including York, Lancaster and Mecklenburg counties. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law, and 100% of your donati

on remains with the HSYC to benefit the pets in our care. To ensure cats and dogs are treated in a humane manner, are rescued, and are placed in loving and forever homes by:
- Increasing dog and cat rescues and adoptions
- Empowering the environment so pet owners are responsible and accountable for their actions
- Supporting spay and neuter programs for community dogs and cats
- Providing a Helping Hands Program to assist with critical treatment for dogs and cats in need

We need your help, friends!

The Humane Society of York County is in search of an amazing location for our highly visited 16th Annual Christmas Store! This festive pop-up helps us raise much-needed funds to care for the abandoned cats and dogs in our community - and we can’t do it without a home for the holidays.

Why host our store?
✅ HSYC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — hosting may have tax benefits

We are very, VERY low on some of the items below! We are completely out of our standard cat food and kitty litter. Items can be sent via Amazon or delivery (walmart/pet stores) straight to the rescue OR feel free to drop it by while we are there and visit some kitties!

We have the most amazing supporters and truly couldn't do it without you all!

(And the beautiful cat pictured is Lady Gray, who is oh-so grateful for everyones help as well!!)
