We are in the process of getting “wheels” for Jax. We are working closely with the UW Madison on his care and treatment. We appreciate all the suggestions, donations and prayers. This is not an easy fix- getting Jax mobile (whatever that may look like) is a long term process- Right now l, we could use volunteers to come in to “walk” him a few times a day. Even if you can only come once - it would be a huge help. Again, thank you - we could not do what We do - without YOU!
UPDATE on Jax: Sadly, the out come was NOT what we wanted to hear- Jax suffered in - layman’s terms” a Spinal Stoke. Meaning there is only an 8% chance he will ever be able to regain the use of his back legs. His appetite is good- he is peeing on his own- he LOVES being outside - Jax spent yesterday back home with his foster family- they sat outside on the shade and according to them - Jax slept like a log. We have not given up hope- Jax is only 3 years old, with a strong will to live- and he now has a family to live for - meanwhile we are taking him outside when we can, keeping close watch and saying LOTS of Prayers. Thank you to everyone who has donated, and those who are praying for our sweet boy. If you are a strong guy- we would love for you to come take Jax for a walk I am just too old to carry around 85 pounds of dead weight! 😍
