This sweet polydactyl gentleman can be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he trusts you, you’ll be rewarded with one of the loudest purrs you’ve ever heard. Seriously. You may need to check if a small motorcycle has started nearby.

Cookie spends his days perfecting his biscuit-making technique with his extra-large feet and wondering why everyone keeps walking past him. While the outgoing cats steal the spotlight, Cookie quietly waits for someone to see the wonderful cat he is.

He doesn’t need a mansion. He doesn’t need fame. He just needs one person willing to give a shy boy a chance.

June 3rd our rescue, Lady Luck Animal Rescue rescued 5 kittens from a mobile home park in Hallandale. Our trapper friend already TNR'd the mom a month prior. She capstarred them on the way to the foster home and there were hundreds of dead fleas in their carrier. Foster moms bathed them as they were stinky and started the deworming process. They are reported to be the sweetest kittens! And will be our future cat cafe kitties💗

Here’s Jazz, the Mayor of Good Luck Cat Cafe. 🎷

As you can see, the Mayor is currently hard at work… hanging from his office perch and supervising absolutely nothing while waiting for breakfast.

Every morning, Jazz conducts an important review of cafe operations:
✅ Food bowls checked
✅ Sunbeams inspected
✅ Kittens monitored for excessive cuteness
✅ Breakfast still not served (according to Jazz)

Jazz does have one question for the universe:

“How is it that every tiny kitten who arrives here gets adopted, but a handsome, distinguished gentleman in a tuxedo remains available?”

It’s a fair point. He dresses for every occasion, greets visitors like a seasoned politician, and has years of experience in napping, charm, and quality control.

Maybe everyone assumes the Mayor already owns the place.

Adoption update on recently adopted Peggy and her Lady Luck alumni Ash (now Asher)
Omg Laura. She is doing so well! 😍 From the moment we got home she was fearless! She gets along well with everyone! Asher and her are still getting there but they’re doing so well. Asher has been SO HAPPY.
Seeing ash this happy has made me so proud. Plus they both love the huge tree!

Sweet little Gabby just came to the cat cafe a couple of days ago and she’s already doing great. She makes air biscuits and gets more comfortable every day. She likes the other kitties. Gabby had mammary hyperplasia which is primarily a non-inflammatory, hormonal overgrowth of the mammary tissue caused by her system producing too much progesterone. She was spayed a couple of weeks ago which will reduce the inflammation since she will stop producing progesterone. She still has a slightly sagging belly that less each day. She is not in any pain and enjoys pets. PS she loved her fosters dog.
