Gigi is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. This little 30lb Australian Cattle Dog was dumped along hwy 38. Today she is getting spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. One step closer to finding her happy ending.

It’s been a month since Salem was trapped and treated after being brutally attacked by a coyote—and look at him now! ❤️

He is fully healed, looking great, and you can barely tell what he survived.

A huge thank you to the special fosters who cared for Salem, nursed him back to health, and gave him a safe place to recover. 🐾

Last weekend, Salem took his next big step. We transferred him to a rescue that specializes in cats, and he is now ready to find his forever home. 🏡❤️

Because of the sensitive nature of some aspects of Salem’s rescue, we’re keeping this update intentionally vague—but it is all great news!

We are excited to be a part of this event. Living in the mountains means always being prepared. Come out and get the resources you need. Southpaw will be there with information on evacuating with animals. We will also have some of our adoptable animals there.

This little pug/frenchie mix was rescued from backyard breeders. She suffered horrific conditions, leaving her with kidney issues. Then she found out people care enough to donate to her so she can eat the best diet possible to keep her healthy. Thank you and for your lifesaving work to help rescue dogs overcome abuse.

From starving in the streets of Mentone to living his best life on the beach. 🌊❤️

Southpaw Alumni Tilly G., now Billy, is absolutely winning!

Once starving in the middle of a Mentone street, Billy’s life took a beautiful turn when he was adopted by an accomplished artist who absolutely adores him. Today, he’s living in a condo right on the beach, surrounded by love and getting the life he always deserved.

From survival to this. 🐾

Billy, you hit the jackpot. ❤️

✈️ Honey’s living her best life! 🐾

Honey loves sitting outside and watching the planes go by—and according to her family, she is still the perfect pup. ❤️

We absolutely love getting these little glimpses into her happy life. From being one of the Fabulous Four dumped in a picnic area to having a family, a cat friend, and a favorite spot to watch the world go by… Honey’s story is pretty wonderful. 🐾
