✨ Southpaw Alumni Spotlight: Bella ✨

Bella’s story is exactly what we hope for every dog who comes through Southpaw.

Dogs don’t end up in rescue because life has been kind to them. Somewhere along the way, someone failed them. Our commitment is making sure that failure is not the end of their story. We work tirelessly to find families who will love them fiercely, protect them completely, and give them the life they always deserved.

And Bella found exactly that. ❤️🐾

Seeing her safe, happy, and deeply loved with her forever family is everything rescue should be. The trust in her eyes, the comfort she feels, the joy she carries now — that is the future we fight for with every single dog.

Thank you to Bella’s incredible family for giving her the beautiful life she was always worthy of.

Sophie update 🐾

This sweet girl is officially trusted full-time out of her crate and doing amazing with the two large dogs in her foster home. She’s walking well on leash, learning social cues, and showing more of her goofy, loving personality every day.

She may have had a rough start, but Sophie’s future is looking pretty beautiful. ❤️

What a mystery, Oso.

This beautiful Great Pyrenees was found tied to a pole by a good Samaritan. Thankfully, he stepped in to help, but he can’t keep him long term. Since then, Oso has been boarding with Enlighten Dog Training, and they say he’s a wonderful dog. Calm, sweet, and easy to love. Funny how the dogs abandoned the cruelest ways often still trust people the most.

Oso is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. We suspect he may have already been vaccinated before, and while the microchip owners were contacted, they hung up on the vet when asked about him. We also wonder if he may have originally come through a rescue that was never updated on the chip.

Whatever his story was before, Oso deserves a better ending. He is a stunning Great Pyrenees looking for the forever home he should have had all along.
