501c3 non-profit charitable organization, Critter Junction Pet Rescue:
Animal Control Facility, Animal Shelter,
Small Animal Rescue, Low Cost Spay/Neuter Cat transport, Maternity Cat/Kitten Program, Pet Supplies, and Walk-in nail trims. We take in displaced and surrendered cats and other small pets from private individuals and from other Wisconsin rescues, shelters and animal control, to adopt t

hem out into their Forever Homes. From the Maternity Cat program, where pregnant and nursing Mom cats (mostly country and farm cats, but also the "oops Moms) are surrendered to the rescue, they queen their litters, and then the Moms are vetted, vaccinated, spayed and returned back to their home at no cost to the owner. To the many, many litters of kittens who, via the Maternity Cat program, are saved from a harsh outdoor life and adopted into loving homes. Critter Junction Pet Rescue works outside the box to give them their best forever

Spay and Neuter:
We host a Spay Me! Once a month we transport 50 local cats to the Wisconsin Community Veterinary Center in Madison to be Spayed/Neutered and vaccinated at low cost.

Grooming:
Our Self Serve Pet Wash is available for Walk In's with No Appointment Needed during all open hours. We provide everything you need from the tubs, aprons, towels, blow driers, grooming tools, and a variety of shampoos, conditioners and colones! Our staff is always available for nail clipping, ear cleaning, gland expression, fur matt removal and to assist you and your pet; but 'sorry' we do not do full shaves or fur cuts! We clips nails on almost all pets at a low cost. We even do house calls for special needs people and special needs pets!

Two more kittens (8 to 10 weeks old) came into the recue today.
Intake id # 417, orange and white found on the 400 block of N. Peters
And
Intake id # 418, brown tabby found on the 800 block of Pioneer Pkwy
Both are a little spicy, so we will confirm the boy/girl status when a little more awake and ready for the challenge tomorrow.

I often tell people rescue is 50% wash and dishes. Thank you, Walgreens (Main and Johnson) in Fond du Lac, and all the customers, for this truly wonderful supply drive donation.
So while Laurie and I continue to play our "tag your it" game with both adoptions and post adoption wash... the laundry detergent is secured.

The last of the 11th St (near Main) kittens was caught this morning.
Sights are now fully focused on the Mom cat because she appears to be pregnant again. A trap is not an option for her, she won't hold in. It is going to come down to the community caregiver who has somewhat won her trust.
We want to get the kittens out of the life they are being born into, but equally as important is to get the feral, semi feral, and community cats Out. Of. The. Breeding. Pool!! As long as she is left to keep dropping kittens... the cycle never ends. One life, one cat, and one kitten at a time. It's an uphill climb!

That's it, [she says, stomping her feet] !!
Every time I put the intake binder away, another one (or 7) shows up! I am NOT putting the intake binder away anymore... no way... no how. It can just lay there and think about what it did!!
This very sweet young mom (no microchip) and her 6 4-week old kittens were found on the 700 block of Marr in Fond du Lac. She obviously has been doing a very good job taking care of her little brood. We will just make things easier for her and for the kittens from here on out.

I think we have a girl here, but this is our 1st date, and dating etiquette (and the cat with 48 sharp pointy weapons) says there will be no groping on a 1st date!
She does have a wound on her side. Cat bite absess? Maybe.

Store: Critter Junction Pet Rescue, located at the Head to Tail building, is a 501c3 not for profit with products for Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rabbits, and Small Critters. Everything we do is for the benefit of animals rescued in the State of Wisconsin. ~~ Grooming: Our Self Serve Dog Wash and We-Wash (where we wash for you) is available for Walk In's with No Appointment Needed during all open hours. We provide everything you need to from the apron, to a variety of shampoos, to the blow driers and bows! Our staff is always available for nail clipping, ear cleaning, gland expression, and other grooming needs for your pets, as well! We're not just about the dogs, either! We clips nails, wings, and talons on almost all pets at a low cost. We even do house calls for birds or for special needs! ~~ Rescue: We do not buy or breed animals. Instead we operate an Animal Rescue. We take in displaced and surrendered pets from private individuals and from other rescues, shelters and animal control throughout Wisconsin, to adopt them out into their Forever Homes. We frequently have cats, kittens, rabbits, hamsters, small birds, and guinea pigs. Occasionally we have larger birds, domestic mice and rats, gerbils, dogs, puppies and exotic pets. ~~ Spay Me! Clinic: We host a low cost transport to the Spay Me Clinic! Once a month we transport local pets to the Spay Me! Clinic in Madison, to be Spayed and Neutered and receive vaccinations at low cost.

~~ Maternity Cat Program: We often take in pregnant cats and cats with litters of kittens, most typically from area farms. Once the Mom cat has finished nursing her litter; she is spayed, vaccinated and returned to her home, at no cost to to her owner. The kittens are also spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated, and find adoptive homes from the rescue.
