Come see us at this fun community event!

The Friends of Lakeside Park are very excited to announce that we are celebrating 5 Years of hosting the Fondy Food Truck Festival! This year, our festival will take place on Sunday, May 25 and Sunday, September 21 from 11 AM to 5 PM on Oven Island in the beautiful Lakeside Park.

What started off with only 8 Food Trucks has grown bigger and better each year, and 2025 will be no different! We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors who have helped make this year unforgettable:
- Lighthouse Sponsor: Eilertson Inc.
- Fountain Sponsors: Destination Lake Winnebago Region, TTI Inc., Fred’s Fastrac Sales & Service, US Cellular, Fleet Farm, Kwik Trip, Festival Foods

We are thrilled to announce that this year there will be 38 Food Trucks at both festivals, coming to serve the Fond du Lac community from all across the state. At our May festival, Until Dawn will be performing, and in September, D. W***y & The Souvenirs will be joining us.

As always, a number of local non-profits will be attending, along with activities for the whole family. Check out our flyer for the line-up and watch our website, https://lakesidepark.org/, for updates.

We are looking forward to another year of family, food, and fun! Please share this announcement with your friends and family.

It’s Feline Friday-Meet Chipper! Chipper is a 3 year old neutered male that’s been under our care since March 8th. Chipper is a very loving boy that has never met a person he hasn’t liked! He’s a total sweetheart who loves receiving all kinds of affection, especially belly rubs. Chipper likes to reciprocate his affection to you in the form of licking little kisses onto you, and also by laying on your lap. Chipper loves being brushed and would be very content to cuddle with you for hours while being groomed. He’s a big fan of treats and seems especially fond of purr-pops and delectables. Chipper isn’t too playful when people are nearby him because he’s very people oriented and would rather spend his time with you. However, when he thinks no one is watching, he likes to occasionally play with a jingle ball or spring toy. He also enjoys playing with his feline roommates. Chipper enjoys passing the time lounging by a window, waiting for someone to come visit him. When it’s time for a nap, Chipper loves finding one of his furry friends to snuggle up next to and fall asleep with. Chipper does great with other cats and he’s currently sharing a playroom with some friends. However he has not been dog tested so we are unsure how he would react. Chipper is still waiting for the right person to come along and take him to his “furrever” home and he hopes it’ll be you! You can find out more information on Chipper in his bio on our website, and if you’re interested in adopting this handsome boy, feel free to submit an application!

As National Volunteer Week comes to a close we wanted to shout a HUGE thank you to all of our dedicated, amazing, hardworking, and loyal volunteers. We could not do this work without your commitment to the animals and to our mission. From the bottom of our hearts, all of us here at the Humane Society thank you so incredibly much. We appreciate and value your contributions to our success!

We’ve only shared photos here of a handful of our crew, but each and every one of you, pictured or not, means more to us than you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your service to the animals!
