Pheasant and a sharptail today
A friend commented on yesterdays post on how seldom he gets quality birds in
That comment hit me today as I was mounting these two
Upland birds seldom come in in pristine condition and these two definitely fit the definition of less than ideal
I’m so glad they came out presentable, I hid a lot of issues and sewed way more than I like to on these guys
I’m not sure how a hunter manages to make such large holes?🙄🙄😩

Barnyard rooster today
No idea on its backstory other than they blew the back outta it with a 22
Everything hid ok
I used the real comb as it’s small and can be rebuilt easily

It’s neat when viewed from different angles lots of emotion in the composition
I have another pair coming up but a table mount

I have two fighting pheasant pieces to do
This one is a wall mount, the other bird will be coming down at it in an aggressive manner
But not till next week…..

Just one this afternoon but it was a “Dandy” immature, burnt male Blue grouse
The upcoming habitat will definitely help this piece
Gotta turn Turds into petunias some days!😁

My Friend Amber flew in for a week of assistance and training
We put 23 birds on the wall in 7 days
Sure helps me out!
A four Wood Duck day from start to finish is a big day but it ended our week together
Very grateful for her coming to help
The shop is pretty quiet today😐
