🍂 Happy October, Northern Minnesota! Crisp air, crunchy leaves and pups who think every pile is a personal invitation. Whether you're a night-shift nurse or enjoying a cozy retirement, we hope your fall is full of tail wags. We're feeling PAWSITIVELY fall-tastic!

🚨 IMPORTANT BOARDING ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
Boarding will be CLOSED November 7-22 for Minnesota R***e Deer Season 2026. Boarding openings resume right after deer season, just in time for Thanksgiving! Daycare, walks and drop-ins continue as usual. 🐾

🎃 HALLOWEEN PET SAFETY
Let's keep it a howl-o-ween, not a fright night!
🍫 Candy: chocolate and xylitol (sugar-free gum and candy) are dangerous. Keep the bowl out of reach and call your vet right away if your pet gets into any.
🔔 Doorbell stress: set up a quiet retreat space with a bed and a chew.
🦴 Costumes: no tight, itchy or vision-blocking outfits. If your pup isn't loving it, skip it!
🏠 Keep pets indoors on Halloween night.
🕯️ Use battery candles, not flames.

🐕 TRAINING TIP: Teaching "Place"
A mat or bed becomes your pet's calm safe zone, handy for visitors and trick-or-treaters!
1. Lure onto the mat and reward.
2. Add the cue "Place."
3. Build duration, a little longer each time.
4. Add distractions slowly.
5. Reward when they choose the mat on their own.
Common mistake: moving too fast or using the mat as a time-out. Go slow, keep it fun and happy!

🌟 WHAT'S NEW
Thanksgiving boarding spots fill quickly, so book soon to give your furry family member a cozy holiday stay!

🦌 Quick heads up: we will not be accepting boarding during Minnesota R***e Deer Hunting Season. We care about the safety of everyone involved, and we'll be using our property during that time. Thank you for understanding and planning ahead!

💛 And a GREAT BIG thank you: our daycare program is FULL! We're now accepting new daycare clients on a waitlist only. But if your pets are feeling like little jitterbugs, we can still help with walks and drop-ins to keep them exercised, enriched, and out of trouble.

🍂 Fall is officially here, Northern Minnesota! The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and your pups are ready to leaf-tap into some autumn fun! 🐕✨

As the seasons change, keep these PAW-sitive fall tips in mind:
🍁 Watch for ticks — they love fall just as much as we do
🧥 Sweater weather arrives — short-coated breeds get chilly too
🚶‍♀️ Make those daily walks count — cool weather = peak sniffing conditions 🐾

Fall also means busier schedules with school and activities back in full swing. Need a hand keeping your furry friend exercised and enriched while you're on the go? Our daycare ($40) and dog walking ($20) have you covered — with basic obedience woven right in! 🎓🐶

Together we make it PAWSITIVE! Drop a 🍂 in the comments if your pet loves fall! 👇

Leaf it to us — fall is the BEST season for dog walks! 🍂🐶

Crisp air, colorful trails, and a pup who's extra excited to sniff all the new smells... Northern Minnesota fall walks are paws-itively magical! Here's why this season is perfect for your dog's daily exercise:

🍂 Cooler temps = longer, more comfortable walks
🦮 New scents everywhere = mental stimulation galore
💪 Great exercise for both of you before winter hibernation
❄️ Building a routine now keeps habits strong when snow arrives

Our dog walking service is just $20 and includes GPS tracking, report cards, and of course, plenty of sniff time! We even integrate basic obedience training into every walk — so your pup is learning while they're burning energy.
