We are back, just beginning and determined to stay much smaller. Much, much smaller.

Today we welcomed 2 bucks to Red Star Rabbitry and as soon as we get them a bit more settled in, we will be looking for a good sized doe.

I like to follow the 3-3-3 rule:
The 3-3-3 rule for rabbits is a general guideline for how long it takes a newly adopted or rescued bunny to adjust to a new home. It outlines three distinct phases of decompression, routine building, and trust formation: 3 days to feel safe, 3 weeks to learn a routine, and 3 months to build a true bond

The First 3 Days: Decompression Overwhelmed state: Your rabbit may be scared, skittish, or hide constantly.Low appetite: They might eat or drink less while adjusting to new sounds and smells.Best approach: Give them a quiet safe space, limit handling, and let them come to you, don't force a friendship.
After 3 Weeks: Learning the Routine Settling in: Your rabbit realizes they are safe and starts exploring more openly.Personality emerges: Their unique quirks and true personality begin to show.Establishing predictability: They adapt to feeding schedules and daily human routines.
