I’ve been sitting on this post for a bit. Social media isn’t my strong suit-I overthink every word, worry if it’s perfect, dread being on camera. Balancing personal & business is tricky. Running a business while navigating my family’s health challenges has made me better at what I do. Managing complex medical needs, advocating, working w/ both kids’ auditory processing, coordinating specialists built patience & problem solving skills I use every day with dogs/owners. Our reality is heavy some days. I homeschool, manage central lines, do IV infusions every other week for both my son & myself, juggle over 18 diagnoses & countless meds, while giving each dog the individualized training they deserve. I’m tired in ways I didn’t know were possible & sometimes I feel like I’m barely keeping the plates spinning. My family is amazing. They jump in with everything & take joy in what we do together. But being a one-woman show is overwhelming at times. When we recently had to rush to Denver for my son’s emergency surgery, it reminded me how quickly life can change. Grateful for amazing people like Jennifer Jopling -stepped in w/out hesitation. Each challenge teaches us resilience, flexibility & importance of community. Dogs that come here don’t just get training—they get loved by a family who understands what it’s like when life doesn’t go according to plan. My kids light up when they hear the dogs coming that day & celebrate every small victory. You’ll often find them helping with snuggles or cheering on a breakthrough moment. It’s chaotic, beautiful & it works for us. Authenticity creates the best connections- I’m working on getting out of my own head. If you’ve been following along, thinking about training, or just enjoying the dog shenanigans—your likes, shares & Google reviews keep me visible when life gets extra complicated. More than that, I’m grateful to be part of a community that understands life is messy & beautiful & we’re all doing our best. I’d love to hear your stories- vulnerability is less scary when we’re in it together. Thanks for being part of our extended pack. We laugh a lot, love deeply & are grateful for this wild, wonderful life we get to live
