Ziggy: 677 Days Waiting For Home

The Character: Meet ZIGGY! A 3 year old, light brown with a white spot, dapper dude up for adoption through Nassau Humane Society.

The Setting: Ziggy was pulled almost 2 years ago from a Georgia shelter in need.

The Backstory: Ziggy arrived to Nassau Humane extremely scared. Would this shelter be any different from the last? And then something wonderful happened. Ziggy realized he was now in a safe space to get something off his chest: he did NOT like other dogs. He'd spent his whole life in shelters with other dogs right next to him barking and yowling and trying to get in his personal space. He was over it! You know how some people aren't a "people person"? Well, he was not a "dog canine". And the best part? The lovely staff at Nassau Humane said they understood and that he still deserved a home and that they'd give him resources to help!

The Perfect Ending: Ziggy has been working with KProK9 trainers to make him more comfortable with being near the inevitable other dog. He is now muzzle trained and uses this training to pair walk with other dogs, as well as be in the play yard with another dog! His trusty muzzle will come with him, and his adopter will even have access to continued, discounted training with KProK9. Ziggy needs to be the only furry loved one in your household, but his muzzle training gives him the confidence and security to take walks in public, go to vet visits, etc. Ziggy ADORES people and walks like a dream on the leash. His perfect day would be snuggles and belly rubs and pup treats with his humans. Plus, having Ziggy means you can commit to single pet living. So, if you want to have a forever answer for your kids/spouse/significant other/roommate on why they can't have another pet, Ziggy is your wingman!
