PAWS provides medical care to dogs in the City Dog Pound and fosters unclaimed pound dogs that are adoptable, providing them with medical care, vet services, and a safe haven until a good home is found. At times, PAWS must donate funds and resources to other non-profit rescue groups in order to properly foster and care for adoptable animals.

A resident of Howard County is in desperate need of help with her 13 dogs. They are all lab mixes. She acquired so many because a stray dog had puppies at her place. She has been trying to care for all the dogs for some time, but cannot continue this financial burden. She and PAWS ask that individuals take in one or more dogs to help her. These sweet babies--one boy and one girl--need forever homes. They have been abandoned by their owner and a neighbor is caring for them until a foster or forever home can be found. They are happy and even-tempered. Would make great family dogs.
