Franklin County Animal Shelter

Franklin County Animal Shelter Until they find their families, they're a part of ours. We provide medical treatment including vaccinations and sterilization to all animals prior to adoption.

Since 1974, our purpose has been to provide temporary care and shelter to stray, homeless, and abandoned animals. FCAS serves the community as an adoption facility where loving families and pets needing homes come together. The shelter strives to educate the public in the proper care of pets including increasing public awareness of the companion animal overpopulation issue.

***8.23.26*** MISSING FROM, JAY ME
Jax has been missing since 8/22/26. He is a 7-year-old, 75–100 lb. neutered male Black Lab mix. He is black with white on his chest, all four paws, and belly, and has no hair on his lower belly. He is microchipped.

Jax was recently relocated to a new home and may be trying to make his way back to his previous home. He may be confused and frightened. Jax is shy. If you see him, please DO NOT call, follow, chase, or approach him. Instead, report any sightings as soon as possible to Cassandra at (207) 516-2029.
