We specialize in Doodles as we do a lot of them but most breeds and mixes are welcome here 📞📝📆 we offer full grooms, Deshed’s for our double coated breeds , B.B.N.E’s (bath, brush out, nails cut and ground, ears cleaned- it’s everything BUT a haircut)

AKC Scent Work Step 2 With “Millie”

Chicken breast piece in one hand - unavailable.
Scent capsule (Birch, clove, cypress, anise on Q tips) in other hand , open.

She must realize and put together the only way to get the chicken (high value food) is to smell the hand with the capsule- Scent equals food /Food equals Scent/ Scent will always lead her to a jackpot of high value food.

It’s kinda like a “open sesame “ when she smells the scent on one hand as the hand that’s locked with the 🍗 suddenly opens and food appears next to the scent 🎉🍗🎉🍗🎉 the more you do it the more it clicks 🤔 in their heads “Scent gets me FOOD!!” Then the “Alert” can start to develop eventually with a paw to the hand with the Scent or a muzzle punch to that hand …

As anyone knows me I have a personal passion for dogs and dog sports and just doing anything with my dogs . Well this lil doodley do is Millie ! Millie is VERY high energy , VERY smart, would/will make a amazing dog sport dog (scent work, agility, barn hunt , lure coursing) she wants a JOB ! Millie came as a owner surrender as they realized how high energy she is and they are a young couple who just didn’t realize how much work a puppy IS ( it’s literally like a baby honestly 🤷🏻‍♀️) so she integrated into the Pack and has established her rank (low man on the totem pole)
We are working on manners, house training , social skills , she has a raging UTI so antibiotics on board , needs to be spayed , rumor is her bestie . We started Scent Work intro Sunday and she did great 😌 she will be with me for awhile obviously and if a Sport home comes along perfect! If not then we will carry on and do scent work competitions 🤷🏻‍♀️
