I'm not a professional videographer but I wanted to show the differences between using a short leash and a long line leash. In the 1st video you see with the short leash I'm being basically pulled and have very little control over where I can walk. In 2nd video its easier for me to pick a safe path around ice and snow. I've also found that when using a short leash, you unintentionally end up in a game to tug of war with your dog and you both end up having a stressful walk. With a long leash the dog can sniff things and walk a pace that is more comfortable for them, while you stay safe.
