🐾 Little Dogs Need Training Too! 🐾

Just because they’re tiny doesn’t mean they don’t need structure, boundaries, and good manners!

This 5-month-old miniature Dachshund is learning that training isn’t just for the big dogs. We’re working on obedience, impulse control, confidence, and building good habits now—before those adorable puppy behaviors become lifelong habits. 🐶

This 7-month-old Doberman puppy is being such a goofball—as Dobermans always are! 😂🐾
But don’t let that silly face fool you! Before this photo, we were putting in the work on impulse control and long sit-stays. Teaching young dogs how to stay focused, settle, and hold position takes patience and consistency.
Then… of course, we had to capture the goofy side! ❤️🐕‍🦺
Training isn’t just about obedience—it’s about building self-control, confidence, and a dog who can think through distractions.

🐾 A BIG MILESTONE FOR ME & my Fella! 🐾

Starting August 20th, I’ll officially be able to volunteer and deploy with my dog,to assist with missing-person searches. ❤️

This has been a goal I’ve worked incredibly hard toward, and I’m so proud to finally reach this point. Search work is about so much more than training a dog—it’s about preparation, teamwork, commitment, and being ready to help when someone needs it most.

Mala and I still have plenty to learn and experience, but I’m excited for the opportunity to put our training to work and hopefully make a difference for families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

August 20th marks the beginning of a new chapter for us. 🐕‍🦺🔎

Here’s to putting the work in, answering the call, and doing what we can to help bring people home. ❤️

Did you know? Dogs must be 24 months or older for OFA Hip and Elbow certification, and 12 months or older for Cardiac, Patellas, and Thyroid certification. There is no age minimum for eye certification, nor for DNA, since DNA does not change as the dog ages.

The OFA also does Preliminary evaluations on hips and elbows before 24 months of age. However, they will need to be re-evaluated again for a final certification once the dog reaches 24 months.

Nova is an A plus star student! She has been in my service dog training program for several month now.
One of her task she is trained to do is medication retrieval she thinks it’s a fun game! Today we worked on getting ready for the airport.

Proud trainer moment. ❤️🐾

I got a phone a few weeks ago and the owner was in tears. Over a rescue she has…..

Not long ago, Ruby, a rescued Doberman, slipped away and ran down the street. Walks were overwhelming, and she reacted to every dog she saw on leash.

Fast forward just 4 training sessions…

Today, we walked through a park full of dogs. Dogs barked at her. Dogs passed close by. And Ruby? She stayed calm, quiet, and relaxed. No lunging. No barking. No fear. Just confidence.

Even more importantly, her owner was confident too.

This is why I do what I do. Dog training isn’t just about changing a dog’s behavior—it’s about giving both the dog and their person the skills and confidence to enjoy life together.

I’m so proud of Ruby and her dedicated owner. Graduation is right around the corner, and they’ve both earned it. ❤️🐕
