Great blog from Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance about the upcoming sale of more than 4,800 acres of forested land in Fall City used for recreation by bikers, hikers and equestrians. This may be by bikers, but the issues are the same for us equestrians. It’s time to come together, speak up, and protect our back country riding spaces!

Thanks King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks for all your hard work today to get the Fall City Community Park lookin’ good for the big Open House & Tack Sale this Sunday, May 3rd. Opening ceremony starts at 10:00. Horse demos, wagon rides, kids activities, and used tack sale kick off at 10:30. Bring the whole family!

Spoke with Councilmember Sarah Perry and King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks today about the Campbell Global/Tokul property auction. They’re working on it. They quickly assembled a team to see what can be done to purchase or preserve it.

Also touched base with Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance who are taking action and coordinating with others.
