Established in 1979, we were the first animal advocacy group in Baldwin County. Our goal is to eliminate the number of abused and abandoned pets through spay/neuter, education, rescue and adoption. As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, we rely entirely upon donations and do not receive any government funding. We rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for hundreds of abused, abandoned and neglected pets annua

lly. The Baldwin Humane Society is dedicated to working with individuals in the public as well as other local organizations to provide programs like low cost spay/neuter vouchers, our adoption and foster program, public medical assistance, trap-neuter-return services for feral cats, and more!

Teddy May is still here! This sweet 6 month old female puppy has been at our shelter for a month now. She deserves a home where she can learn to be a dog and run around with owners that love her. Hello! Abby Pruet here 😊. I have had the privilege of working at the Baldwin Humane Society for the last 12 years, and have been the Executive Director for the last 8. I have absolutely loved every minute of it! It’s now time for me to start a new chapter of my life and I am SO proud and excited to share with you that our very own Shelby Dye will be taking over the reins as Executive Director. Shelby has been with us for the last TEN YEARS and lives and breathes the Baldwin Humane Society. I am also happy to share with you that Marissa Abrego will be taking over as Adoption Center Manager. On behalf of the BHS family and Board of Directors, please help us to congratulate these two and welcome them to their new positions! We know they will do spectacular things!

Every Thursday afternoon this summer our friends at Baldwin Humane Society are bringing one of their adoptable friends to our taproom. This two-year old beauty is named Labubu. She's in the cone in this picture because she's on the mend from hip surgery, but she's ready to meet her forever family now. Cheers!
