This weekend, two of our team members Mary and Sheridan hit the road to take 7 bunnies to our newest transport partner: Dolly's Dream Home Rabbit Rescue near St. Louis! 🐰

The team and reputation at Dolly’s is fabulous and… boy… so is their space! Look at all the PINK! 💕

Dolly’s said in their own post: “We were already excited about this partnership, but after meeting the ladies who made the trip today, we love it even more. They were absolutely fabulous. They knew these rabbits, loved these rabbits, and came incredibly prepared. Every bunny arrived already spayed or neutered, microchipped, vetted, and with the proper CVI paperwork required to cross state lines. Talk about thorough! Good rescue work deserves to be celebrated and these ladies top tier.”

We’re so grateful to Dolly’s Dream Home Rabbit Rescue for taking 7 of our sweet buns from our crowded rabbit room. And especially in light of Dolly Parton’s recent passing (their namesake bunny was named after her)…. We think this is the kind of good work and pink positivity that Dolly would be proud of. 💞🪩🎵👠

Our pollinator garden out front is officially a Monarch Watch Monarch Waystation! 🦋

While our mission may be about companion pets like dogs & cats, it’s important to us to be good stewards of our planet in the process. We’re so happy we can help care for some of Earth’s most delicate creatures, too. Great job to our Business Manager Allison for overseeing this project! 🌱

🍀 Meet Lucky! 🍀

At just 1 year old, Lucky is every bit as happy and cheerful as her name suggests!

Lucky has been waiting for a home for over 276 days, but this girl hasn’t let that slow her down. She’s still ready to have a good time! 😁

Lucky loves playing tug-of-war, roughhousing with her dog friends, and showering her favorite people with kisses. 💋

She’s got plenty of love and fun to give—she just needs someone to share it with!

📅 THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 29!
Adoption fees are WAIVED for all cats, dogs over 6 months, and small animals!

That means whoever is lucky enough to take this sweet girl home can adopt her for FREE! 💚

🐶 3 Days: They may feel overwhelmed, nervous, or unsure.
🐾 3 Weeks: They’re settling in, learning your routine, and showing more of their personality.
❤️ 3 Months: They’re feeling comfortable, building trust, and truly starting to feel at home.

Every pet is different, so be patient, consistent, and give them the time they need. The best relationships take time to grow! 🥰

Did you know our dogs are on the Treat app? 🐶 It’s a mobile game you can play daily to send actual treats to our shelter in real life. We’ve already gotten several shipments of them. And, the app tells you when dogs get adopted! 🙌🏻
