Join us TODAY (8/21) for crafts, stories and conservation- all for Cheetahs!🐆
Action for Cheetahs in Kenya is made up of a team of dedicated conservationists. Founded in 2009, ACK draws employees from communities that share space with cheetahs and their habitat. Our field scouts grew up in the communities they now advise, our scientists attended universities in Kenya, and our administration have decades of conservation and wildlife experience between them.

❗️Some activities (Crafts, Meet & Greets and Cheetah Q&A) are scheduled during Wild Summer Lights, which require advanced tickets.

Event Schedule:
🔴During Zoo Hours (9am-4pm)
🎨11 AM – 3 PM: Cheetah craft table
📖1PM: Cheetah story book reading, located at the entry plaza
🐾330 PM: Cheetah presentation and conservation information
🔴Zoo Gates close at 4pm and Re-open at 5:30pm for Wild Summer Lights🔴
🎨5:30 – 9PM: Cheetah Craft table (Requires Wild Summer Lights tickets)

Becoming a docent at Mesker Park Zoo is the perfect opportunity for you! If you’re 18 or older, a member of the zoo, and ready to complete our training program, you can join this enthusiastic team of educators. Become a part of the zoo family by submitting your Docent Applications is September 1st!

What is a Docent? Docents are more than just volunteers; they are the heart and soul of the Mesker Park Zoo experience. As a docent, you’ll interact with guests, offering valuable insights and enhancing their visit with educational information. Our docents come from diverse backgrounds, but they all share a common love for wildlife and a desire to educate others about the importance of conservation.

Liberty Federal Credit Union and Mesker Park Zoo PRESENT: WILD SUMMER LIGHTS - Guests will embark on a breathtaking journey through over a mile of stunning light displays, celebrating art, nature, and culture in a truly magical way. Taking place THURSDAY through SUNDAY evenings. This will be a LIMITED-TIME event, and advanced special event tickets will be required. Portions of the zoo will be closed during the event, and animal visibility may be limited – but there’s still plenty of magic to enjoy along the way!

Sensory Sessions of Wild Summer Lights are designed with intention – to create a comfortable experience for guests with sensory sensitivities. These evenings feature reduced crowds, no live music, and a calmer atmosphere. If you’re able to attend a standard session, we kindly encourage you to do so, so we can keep these special nights accessible for those who truly benefit from them. A social story will be available on the Event landing page. Thank you for helping us make this experience inclusive for everyone!

From little explorers to lifelong adventurers - this festival will take your breath away! 🌙🐅 On opening night, one couple told us,
"We wanted to check it out to see how the grandkids would love it, but we absolutely thought it was breathtaking." 💛
