I really want to finish this post I started yesterday but didn't have the time to finish Definitely want to recognize National Pet Memorial Day, which falls on the second Tuesday of every June. Working with all of your pups gives all of us such joy here and we love being a part of your families. That's why when you lose a beloved pup we feel that loss and heartbreak too.🥺💔 I just want to take a moment to pay honor to the pups we've lost in the past year including our dear Mary Lou's sweet, beautiful Charlie and Stephanie's sweet little guy Harley. We miss each one of them dearly!💕🥹🌈

HELP!! Any animal rescue friends have empty gallon jugs and/or freezer space?! One of our local friends with goats is having to dump at least ten gallons of milk a day!😱 What a waste of such a valuable, nutritious commodity, especially when all of our rescues are being overran with puppies and kittens, a lot of them bottle feeds with malnourished mothers, or just malnourished pets in general. Goats milk is so rich in much needed nutrients and is wonderful as a milk replacement or even just as supplemental nutrition. I believe it can be frozen up to a year. But I will check on that. I have room for maybe 6 gallons or so in my freezers but if there's anybody else out there that's willing to store some for future use for our rescues, please let me know!!! Thanks!💕🐕🌊

You still have time to pack up your pups and head downtown here to the Barks and Brews event sponsored by Southwest Communications at Warehouse 410 . Our friends at Vanderburgh Humane Society and It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue are here with wonderful adoptable pups. So many other wonderful groups are here as well with special activities and treats for the pups and kids. Food trucks and tasty brews and cocktails are available while you take your pups around and you can also check out the beautiful Earthborn Holistic Dog Park right across the street. Of course you also want to come see me at our CAC booth And check out our delicious Pup Cup buffet!😋💕🐕🌊

🪲Ticks are rampant right now!! Be sure to give your beloved pet(s) their flea and tick prevention timely. Ticks spread so many terrible diseases including Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, tularemia, anaplasmosis, babesiosis, and the one we are going to highlight today....Ehrlichiosis. Our local vet clinics are seeing sooooo many cases right now. Some are reporting seeing ill pups affected by ehrlichiosis on a daily basis. We are finding DEAD ticks in the filter basket almost daily as well. That means two things....the prevention medications are working and killing the ticks but it also shows that they are out there everywhere and finding their way to our dogs. Be sure to monitor your dog for any signs/symptoms of tickborne diseases and get them to the dogtor if you notice anything concerning. The articles below highlight the signs and symptoms. The same goes for you pup parents! There has already been a death back in April of a resident in Southern Indiana attributed to Ehrlichiosis. That is very concerning as that is much earlier in the year than when doctors typically see tickborne illness cases. We want everyone and their beautiful pups to stay safe and healthy out there!💕🐕🌊
