Lovely black and white Patsy was adondoned with another sweet dog Pippa several months ago. They have been gracious guests at our adoption center but are so eager to find loving, stable homes. It is honestly surprising that no one has adopted these wonderful dogs yet!

Patsy is likely a border collie/McNab shepherd/lab mix with such a big heart! She is smart and very food motivated, which is helpful in teaching her new skills. She is playful and loves her toys. Swimming is a very favorite activity. She says let's go to the beach! Patsy walks well on or off a lead and her voice recall is improving. She bonds well to her caregivers. She loads up and rides great in a car.
Patsy is good with other dogs and people. She is a loyal companion and would be a wonderful hiking or running partner. Patsy will thrive in a home that will help guide her with clear, consistent boundaries and give her a chance for plenty of exercise and stimulation. She does not bark much, although she will alert to strangers.
Ideally there would be a dog buddy in her new home for company and playtime (her pal Pippa would be wonderful!), although that is not required. Patsy should adapt easily to a home with cats as she has been indifferent to the cats she's met at our adoption center. A house without toddlers would probably be best for her. Although we don't know if she's lived in a house before, with consistent potty breaks and walks she is learning to keep her kennel area clean.
Patsy is probably around a year old, weighs about 50 pounds, is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and will be microchipped before going to her new home. There is a fee for her adoption.

Sweet Pippa was found with another lovely dog Patsy a few months ago. They have been gracious guests at our adoption center since then but are very ready to find their loving, stable homes. We can't believe no one has adopted these wonderful dogs yet!

Pippa is likely a lab/border collie/McNab shepherd mix. This silky black girl is a very smart dog, motivated to learn by her intelligence and eagerness for treats! She absolutely loves the water and swimming, an excellent companion for river or beach days. She is a playful girl who enjoys walks, adventures and toys. Pippa walks well on or off a lead and her voice recall is improving. She loads and rides well in a car.
Pippa does great with other dogs and after an initial introduction loves new people. She is a bit submissive with her canine buddy Patsy. She would really enjoy a yard and another dog in her new home for companionship and playtime (perhaps Patsy?). She has been interested in the cats at our adoption center, so a slow introduction to family cats would be best for her.

She loads up and rides well in a car.

Hello Humboldt friends and supporters,
A local woman who traps feral and community cats and gets them spayed/neutered, vaccinated and veterinary care will soon be working with a new cat colony. The kitties are about 6 months old, all black, genders currently unknown, and not socialized.
She is hoping to identify some people who would be interested in giving these cats a chance for a safe, stable life by giving them new homes as barn cats. To successfully acclimate these cats to an unfamiliar area, there is a protocol to follow. This involves keeping them safely contained in large crates, a barn, catio, shed, etc. for at least two months, establishing regular feeding times, and other guidelines.
