Tasks include, but are not limited to:
-Stall cleaning
-Picking paddocks
-Watering/ Feeding Horses
-Turning horses in and out of paddocks
-Keeping barn aisle clear/clean

We had a good time this morning for our basic Anatomy/Conformation clinic.

Thank you Sterling & Hershey for being our examples!

Sterling was a very good boy, letting us write out body parts on him.

Our next clinic is a riding clinic July 18th from 4-6 pm. Trailer ins are welcome! We will be discussing Judge Scoring for the Hunter ring, and riding a Hunter course.

We had a fun time at the June Silver Fox show. It was a humid weekend, but we had a great time.

Results:
🏆Karina Zieren and her pony Yellowstone took home 4 Champions in the Beginner Division Hunter & Equitation. They also took 🥉 in the Mini Derby.

🏆Gwyn Laug and her horse Foolish April were Reserve Champion Saturday in the .75 Intermediate Jumpers.

🏆Emma Sconyers and Oklahoma Smokeshow were Champion in a competitive Puddle Hunter division Saturday and Reserve Champion in the Equitation. They also won their classic Sunday with a score of 82 🥇!

🏆Ava Ploch and her pony No Pablemo had good trips in the 2’3 Intermediate Hunter’s and 🥈 in the U/S. Sunday they were Reserve Champion in the Equitation and 4th in the Mini Derby. 🥇 in Eq on the flat.

🏆Chaylee Wisecup piloted Gwyn’s horse Foolish April to a 🥉 in the MOHJO derby Saturday evening. Sunday they were Champion and Reserve in the .75 Intermediate Jumpers. They took the win 🥇 in the Jumper Classic!

We had a fun clinic last night going over pulling, thinning and doing a basic hunter show braid on manes.

Another great day of learning!

Today we practiced lunging on a small scale. This is a skill that takes lots of practice, and usually not perfect in a day.
We started with a demonstration lunging Ace, and then each student got to practice lunging a partner (🤣 it was quite fun).
Each student also got to practice lunging on Harley and Josie at the walk and trot!
Josie also got a well deserved bubble bath at the end of our session.

We had a great evening full of learning!

Our first clinic of the summer went over wrapping legs, dressing wounds, checking vital signs, and when you should call the vet vs. small things you can handle yourself.

Unmounted clinic opportunities!!! Continue your education off the horse for the summer. We will be hosting several clinics this summer to continue everyone’s education with the Missouri heat, and due to our unique lesson program situation. Stay tuned for more clinics offered in July!

- Wrapping legs: standing wraps, polo wraps, bandages & why we use them?!
-When you should call the vet vs. handling it yourself
-Vital signs: taking your horse’s temperature, checking heart rate, pulse respiration and more!

-Lunging: basic lunge, resistance bands, side reins/pessoa rig & why we lunge?!

-Cleaning tack: properly cleaning and conditioning tack, learning what the pieces of tack are called, & other equipment used

We had a wonderful time at the June Ridgefield show!

🏆Emma Sconyers and Oklahoma Smokeshow had great rounds in the cross-rails earning 🥈 in the undersaddle and a 🥉 over fences Saturday and moved up to the Puddle Hunter’s with three 🥇 Saturday and Sunday earning Champion both days!

🏆Ava Ploch and No Pablemo had great trips in the 2’3 Intermediate Child division Saturday earning 🥈, 🥉 & 4th out of a competitive 13! Sunday they had great rounds in the Equitation earning two 🥉 & 4th.

🏆Gwyn Laug and Foolish April had good trips in the Limit Saturday with 4th’s and 4th in the Gambler’s Choice! Sunday we decided to play in the .75-.8 m jumpers earning 2 Reserve Champions and 🥈 in the Jumpers Classic!

🏆Karina Zieren and Yellowstone had 🥇, 🥇 & 🥈 earning Champion in the Beginner division Saturday. Sunday Karina had a clean sweep of three 🥇 in the Equitation earning Champion again! They also placed 5th in the CWD Mini derby out of a very competitive group of 14.

Wrapped up our 2021 show season at the Irish Fox Show Thanksgiving weekend!

Congratulations to & “Finally Time” on your first show debut in the Long Stirrup Adult with great ribbons Saturday. Sunday they did their first 2’ Mini Derby and were 2nd out of 14 with great scores of a solid 75 & 75.
eq & “Elegance 2” had their first debut in the Long Stirrup child division. Each ride got better and better with this green pony!
eq & “Curragh Mon” had top ribbons in a tough Limit division and brought home a 5th in the 2’6 MOHJO Hunter Derby out of 15 with great scores of 75 & 77!

& April’s Amber had their first 2’ show at the NEC! Great ribbons out of a big Master’s group.

& “Red Rum” had a green schooling weekend.

Our team had a wonderful time at the last Ridgefield show of the 2021 series!

Curragh Mon & Jessie Raj had great ribbons in the Money Hunters and took 3rd in the Hunter Classic on Saturday. Jessie also won the Hunter Classic series award for the year! Sunday this team took a CLEAN SWEEP of five🥇 in the entire Limit Hunter division with the tri color champion!

April’s Amber & Maryfran Kircher had their first debut together taking great trips around the Long Stirrup division both days with well deserved ribbons!

Chocoholic & Madison Hart (riding for Anna Hubatka) had great trips in the Money hunter 2’ section Saturday & had good ribbons in the 2’ schooling hunters Sunday.

April’s Amber & Wendy April also had a CLEAN SWEEP of five 🥇 in the Master’s division earning the tricolor champion ribbon!

April’s Liam & Wendy April had their first show together in the trot pole division. This young horse took home the tricolor champion as well!

Red Rum & Madison Hart had good trips in the 2’6 money hunter section and another CLEAN SWEEP of 🥇 in the 3’ Green’s. Sunday they took the 5th place spot in the MOHJO hunter derby!

Curragh Mon & Madison Hart also got to play around in the MOHJO hunter derby with a 🥉 place finish with great scores of 82 & 84.

Curragh Mon & Summer were also 🥇 in their lead line class! This wonderful horse wears many hats ❤️

It’s been a wonderful past 3 “week”ends horseshowing at Kentucky, Ridgefield & Bridlespur. Here are some photos and our results!

Kentucky Horse Park 7/7-7/11

Jessie & Curragh Mon had great ribbons in the Limit Division securing two 4ths & 6th out of 17. Had ribbons in the 2’6” Thoroughbred classes out of 15-17 competitive horses! Huge congrats on WINNING the 2’6” KHJA Medal!

Madison & Throwback (owned by Ted Wright) had great trips in the 2’6” Thoroughbred classes as well.

Ridgefield Arena 7/17-7/18

Anna & Chocoholic had wonderful ribbons in a competitive group of 10 cross railers. Winning the undersaddle and 2nd in eq on the flat! This pair had their first 2’ debut in the Beginner division taking Reserve Champion!

Madison & Red Rum had great ribbons in the Money Hunters and Reserve Champion in the 3’ Greens.

Bridlespur @ Happenstance Farms 7/23-7/25

Abby & Forest Warfare had two Grand Champions in the 2’3-2’6” schooling division and 5th in the Hunter Derby.

Ben & Hellboy had great rides in the Intro Jumpers securing a Grand Champion and 3 Reserve Champions!

June Ridgefield show was a blast with some fabulous results!

Weekend results:

Madison Hart aboard “Red Rum” was Champion in the 3’ Green’s Saturday, Reserve champion in the 2’6” open hunters Sunday AND the MOHJO Hunter Derby winner!

Maryfran Kircher aboard “Sweet Disposition” had wonderful trips in the Long Stirrup division both days with a well deserved Reserve Champion and won her eq classes. They also rode to a 4th place finish in the CWD Mini Derby!

Jessie Raj aboard “Curragh Mon” had a 2nd place finish in the 2’6” Hunter Classic Saturday! Sunday they were Champion in the Limit division and 5th in the MOHJO Hunter Derby!

Anna Hubatka aboard “Charlie” had great trips in the cross-rail division at their first show together earning Reserve Champion! Well deserved 1st place in her eq class!

Wendy April aboard “April’s Amber” was Champion in the Master’s division with a clean sweep win all weekend! They also rode in their first CWD Mini Derby with a 6th place finish!

Madison Hart aboard “April’s Liam” had their first showing debut in the poles and were champion at his first show under-saddle.

We can’t wait to be back in July! What a great weekend with great people🎉

What a wonderful weekend at the May Ridgefield show!
Results:
Wendy April and “April’s Amber” we’re Reserve Champion in the adult cross-rail division, and had a clean sweep of blue in their first 2’ Master’s division both days.

Jessie Raj aboard “Curragh Mon” had great rides in the Money Hunter’s Saturday earning two 3rds out of 15! Saturday afternoon they were 2nd in the Hunter Classic. Sunday they were Reserve champion in the 2’6” Limit division! They also competed in their first ever MOHJO Hunter Derby with great trips.

Madison Hart aboard “Red Rum” were first in the Green Hunter, and Reserve Champion in the Open Hunter division! “Red Rum” also competed in his first ever MOHJO Hunter Derby and was 5th out of 15!
