DYK...June is National Pet Preparedness Month? The ASPCA created a great checklist. Here are 5 key tips especially important for cat parents:
✅ Rescue Alert Sticker – Place a pet emergency sticker by your front door to alert rescuers that animals are inside.
✅ Evacuation Plan – Know in advance where you can go with your pets (check with family, pet-friendly hotels, or boarding facilities).
✅ Emergency Kit for Cats – Include a carrier, litter, disposable tray, food, water, meds, and recent photos in case you get separated.
✅ ID & Microchips – Make sure your cat wears a collar with updated tags and is microchipped for permanent ID.
✅ Designate a Caregiver – Designate someone you trust to step in if you’re unable to care for your pet—someone nearby and familiar with your kitty.
