Interested in adopting a friendly, curious companion who’s happy to share space without demanding constant affection? Charger is your ideal match! He’s a friendly, easygoing cat who enjoys doing his own thing. Neutered, house trained, and up-to-date on his vaccinations, this gentle ginger mix loves to explore his surroundings and check out what’s going on around him.

Charger enjoys pets and attention, but he’s not the type to climb into your lap; he’s content to be nearby, keeping you company while still maintaining his independence.

Charger is used to being around other cats and gets along well with them, making him a great fit for a multi-cat home. Learn more about this lovable little rescue https://shorturl.at/vb1fG

Great 'Cat Shelter Tips' graphic from Outsiders TNR ...

1. Be patient - add a little catnip inside the shelter to attract them to it.

2. Don't place food by the shelter.

3. Place the shelter entrance away from the wind.

4. Place the shelter near natural covering.

5. Only place STRAW in the shelter.

Interested in bringing a handsome tuxedo cat into your home? Check out Hercules, a striking little guy with a personality as strong as his name. One look at his unique nose-ring marking and you’ll know he’s something special! This confident rescue kitten does things on his own terms: An explorer at heart, he loves spending time outside, soaking in the freedom and fresh air, and rarely gets bothered by the kitten chaos around him.

He’d thrive in a home that respects his independence — somewhere he can have space to roam, think, and be himself without expectations of constant cuddles. He’s totally fine being adopted solo, but wouldn’t mind sharing space with another cat. If you’re looking for a sweet, soft, and chill companion, Hercules is your guy. Hercules has never been around children, but he would most likely be happy in a home with all ages.

In a South Eugene neighborhood, there is a group of free-roaming cats (semi-feral and stray cats) who have found themselves in need of help! Over the years, a small number of cats slowly grew into a much larger group from two or three original cats. Currently, there are around 20-25 felines, most living outside in the yard and neighborhood, some of whom are sick, and most of whom are unspayed or unneutered.

Without intervention, the colony will only continue to grow, leading to more suffering for the cats and more stress for our community. But intervention is costly, and "Agate Street Cats & Kittens" is seeking financial assistance. Would you help?

Your donations to "Agate Street Cats & Kittens" will go directly toward:

🐾 Spay or neuter surgeries, vaccines, ear tips, and flea treatment for the cats and kittens

🐾Veterinary exams and treatments

🐾 Microchips for adoptable cats

Celebrate Black Cat Awareness month by opening your heart and home to Marty, a sweet, playful boy with a big purr! He loves chasing toys, tumbling around with his siblings, and finding cozy spots to curl up in. Marty especially enjoys people-time — if you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance he’ll hop right into your lap for cuddles and purrs.

Neutered, house trained, and up-to-date on his vaccinations, Marty “parties” wonderfully with other cats and would love to be adopted with one of his siblings into a home with a friendly feline companion. Although he hasn’t had experience with dogs, his confident, affectionate nature suggests he’d likely do well with a gentle canine companion after a proper introduction.

Temporary Intake Suspension: It is with deep regret that we announce the temporary suspension of our intake services until the New Year. While The Cat Sanctuary continues to care for and feed many cats – and recently received a surge of kittens this summer that are available for adoption at – we will be suspending the intake of new felines until 2026 in order to get our facilities “up and running” and build capacity.

The Cat Sanctuary, a 501 (c) (3) that serves the Lane County, OR, area, provides a safe haven for kittens and cats that are elderly and those with physical as well as behavioral disabilities. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all who continue to support our rescue efforts with time, treasure, and talents.
