Our sweet Daisy’s health is beginning to decline 🥺 Her good days still outnumber her bad, but it’s becoming clear which direction we’re heading. As always, we’ll be closely tuned in to how she’s feeling and what she’s telling us.

We still haven’t found the right fospice or adoption fit for Miss Daisy, so the reality is she may end up being part of our family forever. While we had hoped she could spend her final chapter in a loving home, this is exactly why our Senior Sanctuary exists, to ensure dogs like Daisy are surrounded by comfort, care, and endless love every single day they have left. ❤️

While Daisy is still feeling well enough, we’re putting together a bucket list of joyful experiences, the kind every dog deserves before they leave this earth. We’d love to hear your ideas in the comments, and if you’re part of our volunteer team and want to help make one of these dreams come true, please reach out.

Daisy’s quality of life will guide every choice we make, and we’ll keep you updated along the way. For now, keep sending all your love and positive energy to our sweet girl. She feels it. 🫶🏼

Another sweet senior has found her forever home! ❤️

Remember Midge? She joined our Senior Sanctuary back in late May after she found herself in an overcrowded shelter. Midge spent a few weeks with us at the rescue, but it was clear that she would feel more comfortable in a foster home setting while she waited, which thankfully we were able to make happen for her! Midge blossomed in the care of her foster, and really let her sweet personality shine 🥰 It was truly so special to see that change in her! Not too long after, her wait for a home was finally over. Midge joined a family of her very own, and is SO cherished now 🥹 She even has a new sister who was adopted from us last year (you may remember her as Debbie ☺️) Life is going to be smooth sailing from now for ya sweet girl, and we couldn't be more happy for you! Huge thank you to for stepping up to foster Midge, and to her new fam Jini & Bill for giving her the dream retirement she had been waiting for! 💖

Good morning from the beautiful, adoptable Lucy! 💖

Lucy has been waiting patiently for her forever family to come along since early April, and she's SO ready to steal someone's heart! Maybe it could be yours?? 👇🏼

Lucy exudes joy and happiness! ✨ She's a social butterfly type who thrives on connecting with her human pals. During her stay with us we have been focusing on basic obedience training, crate training, and leash skills with this sweet gal. She's shown to be food & toy motivated, which makes training fun and engaging with her!

Lucy is happy to go on walks or adventures with other dog pals, but we feel she'd prefer to be the only dog in the home, so that she doesn't have to share the spotlight 😉 Kids 10+ would be fine for her, as her exuberance would be a bit much for smaller children. No cats please & thanks!

Our 3rd annual Market for Mutts is only TWO weeks away! 🥳

We cannot wait to hang with you all and celebrate another year of saving pups together 🥰 We'll have food and drink, vintage and handmade goods to shop, a tintype photographer, a pet photographer, locally grown produce, beautiful houseplants, a doggy-chill area for your pups to enjoy, and even a couple of tattoo artists offering pup-themed flash tattoos! It's gonna be a BLAST ⭐️ And make sure you stick around to catch our live bands (starting at 1 pm) and Clark & Company (shown here! starting at 4 pm) 🎶

Meet the newest member of our Senior Sanctuary, Cooper ❤️

This sweet boy was recently surrendered into our care after he was brought into a vet clinic to be euthanized. The doctors however could not wrap their heads around doing so given his overall physical and cognitive health, so luckily the staff was able to talk the owner into surrendering him instead. That's when we were called in for help, and thankfully we were able to say yes.

Cooper then spent about a week in a loving temp foster where he was able to decompress and relax. He just arrived with us yesterday, and is already such a little love bug ❤️ We will be continuing to let him settle in and will have him listed for adoption on our website soon, so keep your eyes peeled if you've been wanting to add a sweet senior man to your life! 🥰

Good morning from lil miss Grandma Miriam 😍

Miriam is ready to start meeting potential forever families 💖 She recently received her full medical workup, (complete with a dental!) and can't wait to find the perfect cozy, calm home to settle down into. ✨

Miriam is a funny lil lady, around 12 years old. She can make you be a bit patient for her friendship, but once she warms up she's an affectionate little lap dog, and very much so worth the wait. We think she would thrive in a home where she can enjoy some peace and quiet, with a loving & devoted human guardian by her side ❤️ Miriam has shown to be potty trained, and gets along with other small dogs around her size. We also think she would be fine living with cats. Small kids in the home would not be ideal, but teenage aged kids would likely be just fine.

Have we mentioned how great Leroy is?! This big sweetie pie is more than ready to find the perfect forever fam to settle down with 🥹

Leroy is 4 years old, and would do well joining a family as the only dog, OR with a well-balanced female dog. In his previous home he was neutral around kitties and farm animals. Leroy can also join a home with kids ✅ He is a polite, mild-mannered boy who walks well on leash, and is crate trained! He has also shown to be well-behaved while out and about in public. He may be a big guy, but we know he will fit in just right with the perfect family 🥲

Meet Kane! The loyal shadow you've been searching for ❤️

Kane is a stunning, purebred Rottweiler with a heart as big as his paws. At 3.5 years old, he’s the very definition of devotion. Kane has spent his life faithfully by my father’s side, and now that my father is entering hospice care, Kane is in need of a new forever home, one that will recognize just how special he is. Kane thrives on companionship. He’s deeply bonded to his people and loves nothing more than being near them. He’s gentle, affectionate, and incredibly intuitive. Kane enjoys calm environments where he can feel secure, and he responds best to people who are patient, kind, and committed.

He’s house-trained, familiar with basic commands, and happiest when he knows he’s made you proud. Kane isn’t a dog that fades into the background. He's a loyal guardian, a quiet comfort, and a constant presence.

🌟He would do best in a home without other male dogs and with someone who understands and appreciates the Rottweiler breed. An experienced and confident dog owner is ideal, as Kane will give his whole heart to someone who leads with love and respect.

To everyone who was able to send in a donation, no matter the amount; our team, and Grace's new family are SO grateful. We often say this, (because it's true!) but it really does take a village to make these happily ever afters happen! 💖 If you shared her post or left a comment, we are equally as thankful for the support! Each and every one of you helped this beautiful Mama secure the surgery she needs to live as pain-free as possible with her new forever family 🥹

She’s going in for surgery on the 12th, and we will be sure to share an update on how it goes, but in the meantime you can keep up with her new life over on her page! 😍
