One person going vegan saves the lives of an estimated 105 to 200 or more animals per year.
Plus lowers the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and many cancers.

Also substantially lowers greenhouse gas emissions, and has other benefits for our environment.

Abandoned baby pig was hit by a car on a busy highway outside of Portland. Safe now with vet visit scheduled to examine that injured leg.

Donors always needed to support our mission to help abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.

Good news! The elusive rooster living for three months at the Dalton Point rest stop off of I84 near Multnomah Falls has been trapped finally!
He is now named Dalton and is joining a flock of pet hens in The Dalles.

Thanks to everyone for the hours they spent trying to catch Dalton. He is now safe from predators and out of there before the winter weather.

Fomo, the rooster from a backyard flock in Portland, is now at his new home with Margie in Estacada. Margie and her husband have stepped up numerous times to take in rescue chickens.

So many chicks purchased at farm stores turn out to be roosters and illegal in the city. Crowing is not allowed in most cities. Thanks again to Margie for adopting Fomo.

Good news! Zeus and Hercules are safe at a foster home and will not be euthanized as planned.

Anyone able to provide a forever home for these sweet dogs, please contact Brielle Disney at 503-839-0114. Brielle did not hesitate to offer to foster, and we are all grateful to her for her kindness.

Thank you also to Tina Crow
for getting the word out and saving these dogs.

The dumped rooster living at the rest
off the freeway not far from Portland for the last few months is still managing to avoid capture. He is the smartest rooster ever! Also, he doesn't like the rain and goes deep into the woods.

Volunteers are continuing to try to outsmart him with food and a drop trap. Fingers crossed 🤞
