🌴🏝️ Meet the Island Kittens! 🏝️🌴

These adorable babies were found living underneath a building at a local apartment complex and are now safe in our care!

Say hello to:
🌺 Bali
🌺 Fiji
🌺 Maui
🌺 Tahiti

While Bali was found separately a little later and we aren’t completely sure she’s related to the others, we couldn’t resist giving her an island-inspired name so she could be part of the crew!

We estimate these cuties are around 5–6 weeks old, and they are growing like weeds already!

Please give the Island Kittens a warm welcome and follow along as their journey with us continues. If all goes well, we’re hoping they’ll be ready to find their forever homes by the end of the month. 🐾

These are our last 3 ‘Super Kids’ and they are ready for their furrrrever family’s 🐈‍⬛🖤

These little ones have been thriving in their foster home! Soaking up all the love and having an amazing time being loved on by two little boys (they do great with human kids 😉).

Out of this bunch of SIX we have FOUR left!!

Here are our Super Kid’s names:
Ginny (adopted), Buddy, Sparks (adopted), Otto, Bitsy and Zsa Zsa!

These little wild kids are about 12 weeks old and ready for their new homes! We have 4 girls and 2 boys in this bunch. They have been raised with younger kids as well, so they are pretty good at joining in the chaos 🤭

Our adoption fee is $150 for one, and $250 for two going home together.
All of our kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed and have received age appropriate vaccinations.

After what felt like FOREVER over the last 2 days, we can finally report that we have successfully trapped another mama and babies 🥳😻💜

This little family was hunkered down underneath the porch you see in the picture. There’s no way for a human to access the underneath of the porch so we had to sit, wait, and hold on to every ounce of patience.

💪🏼 Day 1: Within the first hour, we were able to trap the first 2 kittens in a regular trap, but this really spooked the remaining 2 kittens and upset mom quite a bit, rightfully so… but we still hung around for 11 more hours trying to get the remaining family members since the biggest concern in these situations is mom moving the rest of the babies elsewhere once she thinks her current nest is unsafe.

🙌🏼 Day 2: We brought in our drop trap (you can see pictured) since the family was scared of our regular traps. Luckily mom and babies were still around, but much MUCH more cautious of their surroundings when they’d emerge from under the porch. After hanging out for about 9 hours, mama AND the last 2 babies ALL went under the drop trap to enjoy some yummy wet food and boom 💥 we got em’ !!!

They are a super adorable bunch. So fluffy. And definitely spicy 🌶️

Our focus right now is letting mom continue to nurse and let everyone decompress.
Mom definitely has feral tendencies, but we’re thinking somewhere in there she was someone’s pet at some point because she’s not aggressive by any means, just protective of her babies.

We can’t wait to keep you posted on this family’s journey and hope to have them up for adoption next month! 🤞🏼🩵

A few days ago, we trapped this feral mama and her 3 babies. 💜

The babies are still young, but they’re eating very well on their own and gaining weight every day, so we feel confident they’re okay without mom at this stage.

Our goal now is to get mama spayed ASAP and return her back to her colony. Thankfully, our friends at PDX Cat Trapper are helping get her fixed this upcoming week. Once she’s recovered, she’ll be returned back home. 🐾

We also wanted to share an important reminder for anyone involved in TNR: always do your best to verify whether a cat is actually fixed!

As you can sort of see in the photo, mama’s right ear appears tipped — which is normally the sign that a feral/community cat has already been spayed or neutered. Because of that, we almost released her right away. However, after taking a closer look, we became skeptical that she had actually been fixed.

After reaching out to several experienced trappers and organizations, including PDX Cat Trapper, nobody recognized her as a previously altered cat. Thankfully, one of their vets confirmed on Friday that she is NOT spayed.

This was definitely a first for us and a good reminder that every situation can look different. We’re so thankful this little family was trapped when they were. The babies now have a chance at indoor lives, and mama will no longer have to continue the cycle of having litter after litter outdoors. 💜

From the individuals and businesses who generously donated items, to every single person who placed bids, shared posts, cheered us on, and supported our mission — THANK YOU.

From the 88 items auctioned off, our grand total came to $3,975 👏🔥

And thanks to many auction winners generously adding a little extra to their payments, that total was pushed into the $4,000’s 🥹🩵

We are so happy to share that this auction surpassed what we raised last year, and we truly cannot thank this community enough for continuing to show up for our rescue cats.

Watching this event grow year after year means the world to us, and we’re already excited thinking about how we can make next year’s auction even BIGGER and BETTER 👀✨
