Gus was very sick, lost almost 200 grams, stopped eating hay, then treats and was lethargic. His fur was coming out and his eyes were gooey. Took him to the vet and he recommended recovery food. Gus did not want it either. I contacted Sherwood and they quickly reached out to me and offered samples of both the recovery and regular chinchilla foods. Gus seemed to prefer the taste of Sherwood recovery food over the other brand given to us by the vet. He has managed to gain back 65 grams so far and getting back to more normal activity. We have started feeding the regular adult chinchilla food now. He likes the food and his fur and eyes are already getting back to normal. You can see the quality in the Sherwood pellets. They look and smell fresher, have a better color, and there are no funny ingredients listed. Their customer service is amazing and the quality of their products is like no other food I have tried. There food has saved my little Gus
