Steve and Kathi Luther decided to become "Farmer Dealers" for DEKALB® seed in 1996. Their first few years of selling DEKALB® were run entirely from their house garage. K&S Seeds has since grown exponentially over the years and our infrastructure has expanded with it. We now offer a wider array of products and services than ever before. K&S Seeds remains a family-run business: Kathi has since taken

over the responsibilities of the seed business while Steve has taken over the responsibilities of the farm. Their son, Matt Luther, helps run the farm with Steve and has plans to take over the farm when he retires. He has a degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University. Matt's wife, Maggie Nelson-Luther, also helps run K&S as the warehouse manager. Maggie has a degree in Animal Science and Equine Science from North Dakota State University.

Today was planting day for our 2025 corn plot!
With the help of our partners at Peterson Farms Seed and Bayer, we got the seed in the ground and are excited for what’s ahead. It was a true family effort — big thanks to Cody Foltz and Bill Shores for being a part of it all.
