🛑 PSA: Venomous snake season is in full force 🐍🦟

This is one of the most common emergencies we see in our pet ER during the warmer months.

As pets spend more time outside—whether on hikes, at the park, or in the backyard—the risk of venomous snake and insect bites goes up.

Before heading outdoors:
– 🐾 Always supervise your pet
– 🌿 Stick to clear, open areas
– 📸 If your pet is bitten or stung, snap a photo (only if it’s safe)
– 🚑 Then get to VEG ASAP—we’re open 24/7 and ready to help

🎉 It’s Veterinary Receptionist Week, and at VEG, we know our receptionists as Customer Experience Coordinators (CECs)! 🌟

Last year, we flipped the script 📄on the traditional receptionist role, rebranding it as a CEC and then creating a real career path by adding a Lead CEC position. Why? Because we saw our receptionists had untapped potential, so we elevated their roles and created a growth path to truly reflect that. 🆙🆙🆙

For pet owners, a CEC helps us create an exceptional experience. When you call VEG, they’re the first voice you hear, and also the friendly face that greets you. They’ll guide you and your pet to our care team and through the entire experience to make a scary situation less stressful. 😁
To all our amazing VEGgie CECs: You make every visit special, 🤝😻🐶and we appreciate you! 🫶

Making sure that everyone feels welcome and included isn’t just talk at VEG. We’re an organization that embraces diversity and values each and every customer, and every employee—our VEGgies.

Differing experiences bring varying perspectives, and help move our VEGolution forward. To deny that is like, well, the proverbial ostrich burying its head in the sand. (Sand abrasion? Bring that ostrich to VEG!)

So, to continue honoring , we’re posting an interview with one of our VEGgies who shares their experiences in belonging to the multi-cultural and LGBTQ+ communities. Find this insightful chat on our blog! https://www.veterinaryemergencygroup.com/post/diversity-at-work-embracing-differences-creating-safe-spaces
