Today is National Parvo Awareness Day, marking the beginning of the parvo season, which runs from early spring to mid-summer. "Every Day is Tag Day" - The first Saturday in April is used to recognize the importance of pet identification. We have been using Home Again for our microchips for decades because of their reliability and GREAT customer service! Home Again, like most other microchips, is used to identify found pets (it isn't a tracking device!). ID tags on collars are great as well, but they risk being broken or damaged if your pet goes missing. Microchips can be scanned at most animal shelters and veterinary hospitals. Once that microchip is scanned, your pet's unique identification number can be given to Home Again, who will then contact you to reunite you with your furbaby. We register all of our microchips when they are implanted, but it is up to the owners to update their contact information with Home Again if it ever changes.
