🌱 Early Spring Pasture Check!

As winter winds down, walk your fence lines. 🔧 Check for damage to fences, gates, or shelters, make sure gates are securely latched, and pick up any debris—like branches or trash—that may have blown into your pastures.

Review last year’s grazing plan: what worked, what didn’t? Consider stocking rate, pasture layout, w**d control, fertilization, and forage growth. Write down your goals and any changes for the upcoming season.

🐴 ⚠⏰ Hold off on grazing: While now is a good time to plan and prepare for grazing, it’s too early to turn horses out—wait until the ground firms up and grass is 6 to 8 inches tall.
