It's Sunday! I hope your day is blessed. I haven't been able to share pictures from my phone to our page this week, but I received this great update from the Flyger family about their sweet boy, James. It made us smile! Enjoy:
"Just wanted you to know how the pup, James, you sold to Leah this spring is doing. He kept the names James, as he's King James the first. He never did end up living outside yet. He has been a blessing to us all. He breathed new life into an old dog, our male Zachaeus. Lady tolerated him at first but now they are good friends. He is amazingly smart. He adores our handicapped grandson and will sleep on his floor. When ever Tristan is doing something James thinks he shouldn't he barks, & we've learned when he barks, check it out. One day Tristan had pushed the screen out in his bedroom and was about to let the cat out the window. He is a natural with herding cows. I was in the garden early one morning, when I go out, he follows me everywhere, he has become Grandpa's boy from 6 am until evening. I was working in the garden and had my back to the lane. I thought I heard cattle in the lane and I turned and here the little stinker was bringing the milk cows up the lane. I'd not noticed they'd gone around and gotten out and they were down near the highway. He brought them home alone, that white tail waving like a flag. I ran up to the barn and went around the side to open the gate, the cows thought they'd run around the barn the other way, but smart boy ran and stopped them and when the gate was open I said, "Bring 'em James, " and he did. He ran them in all by himself. He's helped me other times with the cows and he's the first collie I've had who will work them from behind and in front. He seems to understand everything we say, and is learning tricks. We've taken him out in the public and he loves everyone and everyone loves him. Thank you so much, and may God bless you folks."
