An update on Faith. She is growing and getting stronger every day. This week her eyes opened. She’s a sweet, loving girl. Thank you all for the prayers and love.

Last night we celebrated Christmas a little bit early with 9 precious gifts. Violet and babies are all doing great. She was just outside stretching her legs when I took this picture.

We don’t have any babies right now of our own, but I am enjoying helping my mom(Cooks Collies bottle feed her Singleton pup Beau from Lizzy and Cutter. Liz was having a great time playing with the bottle cap.

Just a reminder to make sure to check the microchips in your collies at the vet at their checkups. Be sure to also transfer the microchips into your names after you pickup your puppies up from us. Each puppy will get their microchip at there vet visit and it will be in our name at that time. So if it’s not changed to yours they will contact us if they are found. we are happy to help locate the owners but it can be difficult sometimes. Let us know if you have any questions about this.

This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!
