We’re looking for a summer intern to join us at Grogan Horses!

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting hands-on experience in a working training program. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day—from helping care for the horses to being part of what goes into training, sales, and show prep.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and genuinely enjoys being around horses. The right fit is someone who wants to learn, ask questions, and be part of a team that takes pride in our horsemanship.

Grogan Horses | Assistant Trainer

We are looking to add a full-time Assistant Trainer to the Grogan Horses team. We’re searching for a motivated, reliable horseperson who works well in a team environment and takes pride in their horses and barn. We are a growing cow horse program and are looking to find someone who wants to get experience in starting colts and learning general horsemanship.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the daily training program with your own string of horses
• Preparing horses for work at home and at shows
• Turning back
• Blanketing and general horse care
• Doctoring and basic maintenance
• Bathing and grooming
• Stall cleaning and feeding
• Helping maintain a clean, organized barn and work area

We value good horsemanship, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. This is a quiet, fun, and professional program, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be a solid long-term part of the team.

Housing comes with the job and room for 1 horse.
Pay based on experience.

Christmas is around the corner and we’ve got great horses for sale! 🎁🐴 Please feel free to reach out if someone catches your eye!

Memphis is a 9 year old grade palomino paint mare with lots of miles under her belt. She has more go than whoa so would be best suited for a confident rider. She could be used in western dressage, trail riding, gymkhana events, etc - she’s done a lot in her life! She’s a colorful mare looking for a new home!

Kasa is a 12 year old AQHA bay mare that is easy to catch, stands for the farrier and is a stout horse! She’s broke to ride and would ideally go to a light riding home as she wears she’s and a wedge pad on her front feet. She’s has a very kind disposition and will make someone very happy!

Dudley is a handsome 4 year old grade buckskin gelding. This horse is as sweet as they come. He’s pushed cows, been out on the trails and could be used for any discipline moving forward. Has the potential to be a great youth horse with more training as he’s got the disposition to do anything you ask him!

Callie is a big APHA 2 year old paint mare. Started and on track for her futurity year, she has a lot of potential for a show home! Been on cows, has her flying lead changes and a cute head carriage, she’ll get you noticed in the show pen!

Congratulations to two new happy horse owners! Sweet Rosie and Jewels each found wonderful homes. Although these two were hard for us to sell, we are excited to see what their future holds with their new owners! Congrats and thank you for taking good care of these awesome girls!

We are about to officially post these three horses for sale! Keep an eye out for their sale videos!!!

Montana - 4 year old AQHA Palomino mare. A strong built horse with barefoot feet. She’s been in training for about 90 days and will need a rider that can continue her education. Lots of avenues to take her down!

Rosie - 3 year old AQHA Red Roan mare. She is as sweet as can be! Has the potential and the breeding to be a great show/versatility horse. Has been started on the flag and ready to finish your way.

Jewels - 8 year old AQHA Bay mare. She is a good sized horse with lots of natural athletic talent. Wants to stop hard, lopes cute and has the start to a nice turn around. She will get you noticed by the judges!
