Pennies minted after 1982 contain over 97 percent zinc. When ingested, that zinc can destroy red blood cells and damage organs.

Signs of toxicity may include vomiting, pale gums, orange urine, weakness.

Just a reminder as we approach Memorial Day weekend. Make sure to call us by Wednesday May 21st if you need a refill of medications and food. We will be closed Saturday May 24th and Monday May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. All prescriptions and Food needs to be picked up by Friday May 23rd before we close at 7pm.
