Gertie’s Safe Place for Pugs

Good morning and happy day to everyone! I posted yesterday asking for some dog food and as usual our lovely Gertie's family came through with the goods and we've got the kibble covered! We also scored a ginormous box of Kirkland dog bones treats because of Aria Rands generosity. Aria and her mother came and spent a nice chunk of time hanging out with all of us here yesterday as well! And Abril came through like a knight in shining armor once again for the gang over here! Not only did she send food. She knows the way to my heart is to send me disinfecting solutions! lol Abril blesses Gertie’s on a regular basis and is one of the lovely women who helped take care of my dogs while I was in Colorado! 

I've updated Gertie’s wish list on Amazon, which I'm pretty sure I hadn't touched in ages, and it turns out I'm running low on some other essentials after digging through the dog food cabinets last night. Luckily we're not in dire straits thanks to your amazing kindness! However, we are running a bit low on some other stuff, so when you've got some spare change and a few minutes to kill, maybe toss a few goodies our way for the fur babies?

We've also got a photo shoot coming up today and I'll introduce you to the three new munchkins who checked in over the weekend! Thanks a million, everyone!

So I'm at Pets at Home buying a bag of dog food for my dog 🐶
While in the queue, a woman behind me asked if I had a dog 🤔 Why else would I be buying dog food?
So being top notch with the banter I told her "No, I don't have a dog, I'm starting my Dog Food Diet again" and that I probably really shouldn't because the last time, I had ended up in hospital, in intensive care with IV's in both arms and tubes coming out of most orifices. But I had lost 3 stone in 4 Weeks!
I told her that it was essentially the Perfect Diet and all you have to do is load your pockets with handfuls of dry dog food and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. I get the 'Complete' food as it is nutritionally balanced, so it works really well, and I decided that I was going to give it another go.
(I have to mention here that practically everyone in the queue was now enthralled with my story)
Horrified, she asked if I had ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me.
I told her "No, I stepped off a curb to sniff a Cocker Spaniel's arse and a lorry hit me.
I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.
Now that you've read this I have to confess, I stole it from another page! Now go make someone else laugh 😂😂😂

I wanted to introduce everyone to our new friends up in Montana! We spent quite a lot of time on the phone today and I feel like we are quite similar in our thoughts and approaches to Pug Rescue! I’m having a major Messenger meltdown today. About half an hour ago, I caught a glimpse of a post that flashed across my phone, but I was elbow-deep in dishwater, so all I saw was something like hi Miss Becky, do you need stll need help? Or was that just my imagination. If that was really you, can you pretty please contact me again?

Pictures of clean dishes just to prove to you. I was washing dog bowls when the message came across! Lol.

Alright folks, gather 'round! I just cracked open my last bag of dog food two days ago, and I'm totally freaking out! Luckily, Evergreen Pug Rescue hooked me up with some grub from Costco a couple months back , and the puppers are thriving on it. Plus, it's delivered right to Gertie's doorstep - talk about convenient! If any of you are feeling generous and want to send some food our way, hit me up for the address, pretty please. I mean, can you imagine running a Pug Rescue without enough grub? I'd have a full-blown pug-riot on my hands! Gosh knows you can’t run a Pug Rescue and not have enough food!FYI, the bigger the bag the better!
The pugs and I suffer from food insecurity, and I’m feeling a little greedy right now!

This is written so beautifully, so accurately. My mom used to say you can’t please all the people all the time. I can’t think of a better phrase to apply towards rescuing.
