Endless Pawsibilities will be closing up shop as of March 1. I wanted to do one last treat time video. While I will be going on to do volunteer work with animals I will miss all the pups, both present and past, along with their humans. I’ve loved them all very much and it has been an honor to be able to do what I love for a living.

In case you are unaware, ibuprofen is extremely toxic to dogs even in small amounts. We all hate to see our pups in pain. My vet prescribes Carprofen for my Jeep’s arthritis and I keep that on hand. Ask your vet what is appropriate for your dog’s needs and have some available.

Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my JJ (aka: J Exponential, J-to-the-man, J-Man, Fluff Bucket, and “Go lay down JJ it’s 3:30 in the morning it is NOT BREAKFAST TIME!”). JJ started out as a client but came to live with me when his mom became ill and eventually passed. J was a champion show dog who’s breeder adopted him out after he retired to give him a regular dog life. I think between his first mom and me we gave him just that. We went on adventures every single day until he slowed down in his last year and we cut it down to it a couple times a week.  He had many friends both dog and human.  He was the most social of dogs. When we went to dog parks, he had to meet every single dog and every single person. He would go up to people with his attitude of “look how cute I am don’t you want to pet me?” And of course, everyone did. JJ was a magical dog and led a magical life. Even in his death he went out out with grace and peace. He had cancer that came on very quickly and went very quickly. He was doing fine then yesterday morning he couldn’t stand and was in great pain. We called the Pet Hospice Team. We laid him on his bed, lit candles, and played soft music. He was surrounded by me, his brother, Jeep and two loving friends.  We held him and loved him and kissed him, as he crossed over. Goodbye beautiful boy.  See you when I get there.

We are all hiding out in the bedroom with boarders, Zoe and Kirby, while the cleaning lady is here. The floors will be clean for about 5 minutes until they all go out in the rain for potty. 😝
