🐾 GPMR Alumni Update: Shaw! 🐾

​Remember Shaw from October 2025? His family sent in an update, and it looks like this 175-pound gentle giant is living the good life as the house comedian.

​Between sporting his favorite cap and sprawling out on the kitchen tile to beat the summer heat, Shaw knows how to keep everyone laughing. His family says he is doing so well and settling in great, even if he still is not a huge fan of visiting the vet just yet. We are all works in progress!

​There is nothing better than seeing our rescue pups loved for the big, goofy sweethearts they are.

Nothing beats a "happily ever after" update! ✨

From bedtime snuggles to summertime sprinkler splashes, Zeus is living his best life! 💦🐾

​His adopters report that he is doing amazing, learning fast, and sleeping every night with his head on his dad's shoulder. A big shoutout to his foster for doing such a wonderful job preparing him for his forever home. Seeing updates like this is why we do what we do! ❤️

Alumni Update: Jake! 🐾

​At 7 months old, recently adopted Jake has settled right in and mastered two very important life skills: professional couch hogging and high alert yard security.

​He is silly, happy, and living his best life with his forever family. As you can see, absolutely zero rogue leaves will be trespassing on his watch! We could not be happier seeing this sweet boy thrive. ❤️

Beat the heat, Mastiff style! ☀️🐾

​Adopted back in October 2025, big boy Jaeger sent in a sweet update to show how he is handling the summer weather.

​His family says he is in perfect health, at a great weight, and wonderfully spoiled rotten. With temperatures stuck over 100 degrees, his daily walks in his protective front booties are on a brief pause, so he has traded the pavement for the cool kitchen tile. Judging by that happy, thumping tail, he does not mind the indoor lounge life one bit!

​We love seeing our rescue alumni safe, pampered, and loved. Happy life, Jaeger!

Pupdate: Libby is Home & Loving Life!🐾✨

​Since joining her forever family on July 28th, sweet Libby has settled right into her dream routine! Her family shared a wonderful update:

​"Libby is doing well. She loves her morning walks, running up and down the fence with her neighbor friends, and snuggling. We love her so much. We are so thankful you all chose us to be her parents. She is such a happy girl."

​Whether she’s burning off energy with neighborhood pals, enjoying her morning strolls, or curling up tight for snuggle time, Libby is living her absolute best life.

A huge milestone and an urgent plea for our gentle giants. 🐾

​Thanks to our amazing community, we’ve already rescued more dogs by the end of July than we took in all of last year! But saving more lives means our costs have surged, and right now, our intake requests far outnumber our available foster homes. We have dogs waiting for their second chance.

​We can only rescue as many dogs as we have foster homes for.

An update that reminds us exactly why we do this work! 🐾

​Sweet Gus is thriving in his forever home. He fits right in, loves hanging out with his Mastiff pal Gambit, and has decided that climbing into laps for hugs is part of his daily routine. Add in nightly walks, and he is one happy, settled pup.

​His family says they just love him to pieces and that he was worth every bit of the wait.
​We love seeing our gentle giants get the fairy-tale endings they deserve! 🤎

Happy 'Tails' Update: Meet Mayzie (formerly August)! 🐾💖

​We have the sweetest update to share from Mayzie’s forever family!

​"Everything has been going great with Mayzie! She is an absolute sweetheart and has really taken to her sister, Grindall Mae. Since they are so close in age, they love to play and wrestle in the backyard. Mayzie is so sweet and just a ball of energy! We love her so much!"

​There is truly nothing better than seeing our rescue pups find the perfect match and a best friend to romp around the yard with. Seeing Mayzie thriving, full of happy energy, and so deeply loved is everything we work for.
