This big baby was found Thursday morning (8/21) near Fretz between Danforth/Second St. He did not have a collar, microchip or any other form of I.D. but he’s young, healthy, and very friendly so we know he must belong to someone!

🧼 Part-Time Kennel Technician
If you don’t mind a little mud on your boots and love working hands-on with animals, this is your chance! You’ll be part of the team that keeps our animals happy, healthy, and our facility running smoothly. Expect daily care, cleaning, and more tail wags than you can count.

🩺 Full-Time Shelter Specialist
This isn’t your average desk job! You’ll be working with animals and people alike — processing intakes, assisting with medical care and behavior assessments, vaccinating, microchipping, supporting spay/neuter surgeries, and counseling potential adopters. A solid stomach, sharp decision-making, and strong animal handling skills required. Must be cool with the weird, the gross, and the occasionally heartbreaking — this is real-deal shelter work. Weekends are part of the gig!

Okay not literally on the loose — they’re safe and sound at the shelter — but this bonded pair of pigs is ready to break free from shelter life and head for greener pastures (preferably with a mud puddle or two!).

They’ve been hanging out with us for almost two weeks with zero serious inquiries, and honestly? They’re starting to wonder if their forever farm family is out there somewhere, snacking on whole grain cookies without them. 😢

These two are shy but sweet, and they’re warming up more and more each day — especially if you’ve got their favorite snacks: carrots and marshmallows 🥕. They’d love a big open space to roam, root, and roll, and a cozy place to snooze once their bellies are full.
