Our Silver Wind community is devastated by the sudden loss of one of our family members. Jules Curry spent much of her youth and her early adult life at the ranch. She was a valued friend, instructor, trail guide, trainer and mentor. Her impact on humans and horses was tremendous. It still does not feel real 💔
"Short-Go Sunday"
I heard about a rodeo today.
It sounded so familiar,
though I’d never heard of it before.
None of us have ever been there
somewhere just beyond Heaven’s door.
God said you called in,
and a brand-new performance
was about to begin.
They say the calves are always fresh
and run straight down the line.
The horses are honest and quiet in the box,
and every loop lands right on time.
The ropes never fuzz,
and the ropes never fray.
Even the dirt is perfect
every single day.
The barrels never tip,
and the barrels never fall.
In this cowgirl’s paradise,
there’s room enough for us all.
They say the grandstands are filled
with loved ones cheering loud.
Our very best horses are waiting,
and old friends gather in the crowd.
But the best part of all
the announcer is Jesus.
And in today’s heavenly performance,
He called your name.
For now, we’ll stay here
and rejoice that your fees have been paid.
We’ll carry you within our hearts
until we’re called to ride your way.
And someday, my sweet friend,
I know I’ll see you again,
when we meet beyond Heaven’s gates
on Short-Go Sunday.
