🍂🧡 We are excited to bring you our Fall FURmer’s Market this Saturday, 11/08/25 from 12pm to 4pm right here at our Animal Care & Education Center (2801 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood, MD)! 🧡🍂

This vendor event will have something for everyone—and of course, since it’s a Luna’s House event, there will be raffle prizes!🎉

Admission is free, so come on out to join in the fun!

Our annual dog reunion will be taking place from 12pm to 2pm and we will have pups currently available for adoption out & about to meet with folks as well.🦮

🖤🩷 We first met Emily in December 2020 when she arrived at Luna’s House with her sister, Sally. Shortly after intake, the sisters started squabbling & had to be separated. We attempted to re-bond them after they were recovered from their spay surgeries, but it seemed the ladies preferred living their lives as neighbors instead of roommates.

Sally was adopted into her forever home in September 2023. We have hoped for Emily’s forever folks to come along for almost five years now…and it has finally happened for her! 🎉🥹

We are beyond excited to share that Emily has been adopted by the lovely Amy & her daughter. The ladies were seeking a companion for their bunny boy Dirk, & Emily was the lucky bun who made the best connection with the handsome fellow.💞

The bonding for Emily & Dirk is still underway, but Amy & her daughter could not imagine life without Em, who has brought even more love to their home. So they asked to make Emily an official member of their family by adopting her. We couldn’t be happier for this very deserving girl who is now living her very best life in a home
of her very own.🤗🥳

Please join us in celebrating the Emily’s adoption and in thanking Emily’s new family & all of the volunteers who cared for her at our facility the past five years.

🧡🩶Mark is not only adorable—isn’t he just the cutest?—he’s also incredibly sweet...most of the time. As he's gone from a baby to an adult, he's gotten a little curmudgeonly here & there…which definitely tracks. As a mini-Rex, he's entitled to a bit of an attitude.😏

If you aren’t familiar with mini-Rex or Rex rabbits, they have velvety soft fur & the most precious little curly whiskers—and Mark is no exception. His tortoiseshell-like coloring is known as “Harlequin” in rabbits…but no matter what it’s called, he is one dapper dude.🎩

To know Mark is to love him…and Mark’s new parents Cat & Jake are already head-over-heels for him! 🩶🧡

At only 11 months of age, Mark will be bringing joy to his new mom & dad for years to come. Please join us in wishing Mark, Cat, & Jake the best in making many happy memories together.🤗

Our gratitude goes out to our awesome volunteers who care for our rescue buns each day & to Mark’s lovely foster family for taking hosting the pint-sized cutie pie for the past several weeks.🐰🫶

👨‍🍳 We are delighted to let you know that second of The Chefs (an adorable group of 7-month-old kittens) has found their forever home! 🥳

Beautiful black kittos Gordon, Julia, & Ina and their terrific tabby counterparts Jamie, Emeril, & Alton made their way to Luna’s House after being abandoned in an air fryer box during a rainstorm.😓🌧️ The kittens were understandably terrified but, thanks to an amazing foster family & our awesome volunteers, they have slowly learned that people are friends & that no one is going to hurt or abandon them ever again.❤️‍🩹

After reading about the Chefs’ tough start in life and seeing Emeril’s photos, adopter Ysabell knew she & boyfriend Nicolas wanted to give him a loving forever home. A Pharmacist👩‍⚕️, Ysabella had to relocate for her residency. She missed caring for her family cat, Akino, and was ready to begin her own feline family.🩵😺

🥳 Please help us celebrate Chef Emeril’s adoption and thank Ysabella & Nicolas for opening their hearts♥️ & home🏠 to him!

🖤💗 Kimber is the sweetest of sweetie pies.☺️
As you can see, this Scottish Terrier lass is ridiculously adorable…& she knows it! 💗🖤

Kimber can be shy at first—but once she has the opportunity to familiarize herself with a new person or situation, she warms up quickly & puts her playful, silly personality on display.😄

Still rather young (only about 8 months of age), Kimber is all puppy! She loves to investigate her surroundings & is great at getting her perfect little nose into everything she can.💓

We are excited to share the great news that Kimber has been adopted!🥳 As the newest member of the Longo family, Kimber not only has awesome new parents & a human sister…she also has new canine companions—brother Teddy & cousin Colt.🐶🐶

🩵💛 Meet Kameron & Whyley, a pair of high-flying budgerigars (parakeets) who made their way to Luna’s House when their previous guardians could no longer care for them. 💛🩵

Kameron (with the snowy white face)❄️ & Whyley (with the sunny yellow face)☀️ are clearly beautiful boys.
At about 3 years of age, these two are all chirps 🎶 & charm.✨

Kam & Why can be a little jumpy (or fluttery😉) when there’s movement around their enclosure, but with time & patience, they’re very sweet fellows.

The best days are yet to come for this cheerful feathered duo, as they have been adopted into a wonderful forever home with the Ballantyne family.🥳 The Ballantynes have cared for rescue budgies for over a decade & new mama Claire is a Veterinary Nurse—so Kameron & Whyley are in great hands!🤗

As always, many thanks to our phenomenal Small Animal volunteers for caring for Kam & Why during their time at Luna’s House. 🪶🫶

Baxter & Troy are a handsome pair of six-month-old piggies who wasted no time zooming right into our volunteers’ hearts…well, they may have stopped for a snack along the way.😉🌾

While both boys are rocking tricolor black, red, & white coats, Baxter is an Abyssinian fellow and Troy is a sleek short-haired pig. Together they are absolutely adorable, an unstoppable duo of cavy charm.✨

A little tentative around new people, Baxter & Troy began working on their “people skills” during their time with us. Their best-pal skills were already top notch when we met them, though—these boys are besties for sure!😃 Troy is a little more outgoing & willing to accept bribery (aka fresh lettuce🥬), but Baxter is usually close behind once he sees his buddy Troy getting comfortable.

We know these fellows will continue to become more comfortable & confident in their brand new home with the McLewee family. Baxter & Troy have a fantastic new mom who is a veterinarian👩‍⚕️, a cool new dad, two awesome human siblings, and even a new doggy sister, Storm!🦮

We are so happy for these little precious little oinkers! Please join us in congratulating them on their happily-ever-after.🥳
