We all want puppies to play like wild little whippersnappers with other puppies, right?
But what if professional dog trainers, Heather (emBARK)) and Charmaine (FIKAdogs) told you that interactions with stable adults are more valuable?
Puppy play needs management and interruption and can go off the rails with arousal at times. This is not something that we want pups to practice.
Socially stable adults are worth their weight in gold for puppies.

So worth sharing this gem.

We have a lot of expectations of our dogs without having adequately prepped them to meet the criteria we have in our heads.
Preparing a dog means that they have had multiple successful trials in that environment leading up to the one where we have expectations. Slow and methodical successes build these skills.
Be patient and slowly increase the difficultly of what you are asking. It's only fair to our four-legged learners.
