I was honored to receive the Monna Berrhill President's award this year. Holding the Secretary position for such a large breed club entales dedicating several hours each week to club responsibilities. This summer myself, along with our President Maple Kelly, and Sandra Wight devoted the last few months to updating the NMRRC guidebook so it would be ready for our members by ARBA convention. It was a big project, that added more hours and caused a bit of stress and frustration along the way. (My husband is especially happy this project is complete 😬)

But, ourselves along with a great group of fellow breeders contributed content, offered feedback and helped proof new articles as it slowly came together. The feedback has been wonderful and to say I am proud of the finished product would be an understatement. It was definitely a labor of love. 💛🖤💛🖤
A big thanks to Maple, Sandra, Stevie, Shane, Julie, Chase, Jeremy, Catherine Tompkins, and Allyse Delaat for help with content or proofing.

We are very proud of how our animals did at this year's ARBA convention and I will make another post once we are home but I couldn't wait to post our beautiful redhead.

My mama took Henry to the triple Satin specialty put on by the WI Satin RBA yesterday.

Forman's Comet his Broken SD , was BOV all 3 shows and ended up BOB under Haley Maday and went on to win BIS. A great way to end her show career and finish cookin babies 😊

He had several BOV and BOSV wins with his other animals. Both him and mom had a great time, congrats to all the other winners 🏆

A transport hiccup led to the kiddos and I making a trip to the Illinois State Convention this weekend. I didn't bring any animals, but the kiddos asked to show.
Eva's Mini Rex showed well, and I am very proud of how hard she's worked on her small herd. But I also love seeing her come out of her shell and socialize with a great group of kids.

Henry's Satins did great. He was BOB with Forman's Comet in all 3 shows. She then went on to take Best in Show for all 3 shows 🏆

On Saturday the kiddos (all 3) and I went to the RARC show in Owatonna, MN. It's been a favorite since I was a youth.
Eva's very small show team Mini Rex of mostly bucks did alright, good placings and BOS show 2 under Danielle Lowe. It's always great placings well under someone who raises the breed.
Our 4 Open Mini Rex did okay, placed where expected for what I brought. I think BOSG self in 2 shows.
Henry brought 2 satins to show and ended up with 2 Best in shows with his broken black intermediate doe.

I really enjoy watching my kiddos enjoy this hobby, not only seeing their hard work pay off but also their sportsmanship and helping others at the table.

Lindy enjoyed making friends, having dance parties and eating snacks🤣 Thanks Shari, Jacquelin, and Sara Compart.
