This is a difficult post to make.
One of my elderly clients has made the heartbreaking decision that she is no longer able to care for her beloved miniature poodle, Tessa. She has asked me to help find Tessa a loving new home.
Tessa is approximately 10–11 years old and is truly the sweetest girl. She is fully potty trained, very well behaved, and rarely barks. The only time she'll jump is if there's a treat she's especially excited about! She is friendly with other dogs, other animals, and people, and she has no known health issues.
After recently moving with her owner into a retirement community, Tessa has had a difficult time adjusting to apartment-style living after spending her life in a home with a backyard. Because of this, I would love to find her a home with a fenced yard or with someone who is able to provide regular potty breaks, especially late in the evening and early in the morning, to match the routine she's accustomed to.
This decision has been incredibly hard for her owner, so I'm asking that everyone please be kind. Our goal is simply to find Tessa the safe, loving home she deserves for her senior years.
