As a friendly reminder please protect your pets with the summer heat! As we drive down the road in between clients, we’re see an alarming amount of people out walking dogs on the hot concrete! It’s not safe to walk them on concrete when it’s 90 degrees out. If it burns your bare feet to walk on the sidewalk, it does the same to them! It becomes very painful and can damage the pads on the paws! They do make dog shoes you can purchase to protect the paws on Amazon! Below is a picture of what burned paws look like after a walk on hot surfaces!! Dogs can also can suffer from heat stroke when walking in high temps! Please be very careful in the summer months especially with English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, and American Bulldogs! Even just a little run in the yard for an extended period of time can be unsafe in high temps! The Bullies struggle with summer heat due to their brachycephalic (short-nosed) anatomy, which impairs their ability to pant effectively and regulate body temperature! Senior dogs also have a much harder time with the high temps. Dogs are amazing, without the ability to speak they can’t tell us what hurts! More often than not they won’t complain or show any signs of being uncomfortable, until it’s too late! We don’t want to see something terrible happen to the ones you love most!! Dogs want to please us humans and will give their life for us!! They generally just go with the flow because that’s what makes us humans happy! It’s our job to protect the fur kids! Best times to walk your pets in the summer are earlier mornings before 10am and after 6pm once things cool down! If it feels uncomfortably hot for you it’s best to keep the pets inside until it cools down!! Have a wonderful night! ❤️🙏❤️

🚨‼️Please be aware of this medication (Librela, a bedinvetmab injection) vets are giving animals for pain management & arthritis! Ask for other options! I recently had a very good client of mine (who’s been working with me for years) ask me, if I thought her dog that has arthritis, should get this shot (the vet was pushing) for her dog! As a Certified Animal Wellness Coach & person who has worked with animals for over 30 years, we did a muscle test on her pup, I told her “NO” based on the animals body & energy response! Not enough studies have been done on this shot, especially the side effects it can cause pets! This article is exactly why!!! I am so glad my client asked my opinion & animal wellness coaching recommendations, before just giving the vet the go ahead for the shot! Always get a second opinion. There are other more natural ways to manage pain & arthritis than jumping right into injections! If you need vet recommendations please ask. I can recommend vets who can help with a more holistic approach to keeps your animals comfortable and safe! This particular client of mine went with a more holistic approach and is giving a few different natural supplements and the dog is feeling amazing!!!
