Labor Day Closure Reminder: We’ll be closed to the public Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

This means there will be no daycare, grooming, training, or kennel pick-up/drop-offs that day.

Our kennel will still be fully staffed as usual, so all boarding dogs will continue to receive their normal care and attention.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!

Too Hot for a Walk? Your Dog STILL needs an energy burner! 😍

Mental exercise is just as important as physical exercise, especially on hot summer days.

You can try: Food puzzles, Hide-and-seek with treats, Stuffed Kongs or lick mats, Short training sessions, Nose work games around the house, DIY enrichment with paper towel rolls. Just 10–15 minutes of enrichment can help satisfy your dog's brain and reduce boredom.

How does your dog like to stay busy indoors? Tell us below!

Friendly Reminder fleas & ticks are still active

Even if your dog spends most of their time in the backyard, fleas and ticks can still find them. Ticks can carry diseases and fleas can quickly become a frustrating infestation.

Help keep your dog protected by staying current on flea and tick prevention, checking your dog after walks (hikes, or time in tall grass) & speaking with your veterinarian about the best prevention options for your dog.

If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it's too hot for your dog's paws!

Sidewalks, asphalt, and even sand can become hot enough to burn paw pads in just minutes.

Try the 7-second test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement. If you can't comfortably keep it there for 7 seconds, it's too hot for your dog's feet.

Instead try to walk early in the morning or later in the evening & stick to grassy areas whenever possible.
